Responsibilities

As Senior Accountant you will be fully responsible for the management of all accounting and tax related matters. Ista Belgium is part of the Ista Group. It nevertheless operates as an independent entity and all accounting and statutory tasks are performed internally with the support of consultants (tax).

You will be working hand in hand with the Finance Manager and Credit Controller and provide support to the operations.

•Financial Reporting and Compliance:

•Preparation of financial statements and accounting transactions (GAAP & IFRS)

•Analytical and intercompany transactions

•Monthly closing and reconciliation (SAP)

•Prepare end-of-year closing

•Quality and Continuous improvement

•Collaborate with finance team in HQ (Germany)

•Preventive quality controls

•Accounts payable

•Annual Audit

•Tax Compliance and reporting

•Accounts receivable

•Cash Management

Profile

•Professional experience preferably in the subsidiary of an international group

•Experience of accounting processes gained through min 5 years of experience

•Deep knowledge of accounting standards both Belgian GAAP and IFRS (IFRS15 revenue recognition; IFRS16 leasing; deferred taxes)

•Proficiency in IT and accounting tools : MS Office and SAP preferably

•Ability to collaborate in Dutch, French and English.

•Very good understanding of company tax and VAT : ability to prepare and/or review declaration

•Good analytical and synthesizing skills

•Can do and continuous improvement mentality
