For our client, a globally recognized leader in Supply Chain Solutions, we are currently looking for a:


Senior Director Finance

As the Finance Director, you will lead the financial operations of a forward-thinking global organization. This includes strategic financial planning, financial reporting, and risk management. This role demands strategic vision and hands-on leadership, ensuring that the financial health, compliance, and growth strategies of the organization align with its ambitious goals. Collaborating directly with the Managing Director and a high-performing Finance team, you will shape the financial landscape of the company, driving success and growth from the headquarters in Belgium.


Role Overview:

  • Lead and inspire a global finance team, overseeing approximately 11 professionals, and steering end-to-end financial processes.
  • Drive excellence in financial reporting, budgeting, and cost control, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Strategize and implement innovative financial plans and policies that drive growth and efficiency.
  • Manage financial statements, forecasts, and compliance, ensuring adherence to both regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Ensure comprehensive knowledge and management of global VAT regulations, optimizing VAT compliance and processes worldwide.
  • Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement, implementing best practices across financial processes and systems.
  • Collaborate cross-departmentally to achieve business and financial objectives, while cultivating an environment that is strategic, insightful, and focused on smart decision-making.
  • Identify and mitigate risks while ensuring the companies Key Controls are effectively implemented.
  • Contribute to M&A activities, including due diligence and seamless integration of new acquisitions.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to the Managing Director, providing actionable insights that influence key strategic decisions.

  • Accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
  • Effective budget management and cost control.
  • Achievement of financial targets and profitability goals.
  • Successful advisory on growth objectives to the Managing Director.
  • Effective risk management and strict compliance with regulations.
  • Contribution to strategic decision-making and business scalability.
  • Demonstrated commercial acumen to identify and capitalize on business opportunities.
  • Quick adaptability to the business environment and willingness to learn operational intricacies.


Profile:

Educational Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related fields. Chartered or Management Accountant certification preferred.

Experience: 10+ years of professional experience in finance, accounting, or a related field. Proven experience in a senior financial leadership role.

Leadership: Proven ability to inspire and empower teams, with strong management skills.

Expertise: Skilled in financial analysis, budgeting, and effective cost control. Well-versed in regulatory compliance and adept at managing financial risks. Possesses in-depth knowledge of global VAT regulations and practices.
