Senior General Ledger Accountant

This strategic role, reporting to the Finance Manager Europe, offers the opportunity to play a pivotal part in managing and optimizing financial processes while collaborating with multicultural teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate and complete general ledger accounts in compliance with IFRS and local GAAP.
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting documentation in line with internal controls and corporate accounting policies.
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities, ensuring deadlines are met and financial data is accurate.
• Support the preparation of statutory financial statements and tax filings.
• Coordinate with auditors for assigned entities during the annual audit process.
• Collaborate with various departments to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Assist with ad-hoc requests, such as the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
• Continuously improve processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Mentor junior accounting staff and serve as a backup when needed.

Your Profile:

• At least 5 years of progressive experience in general ledger accounting within a multinational, ideally industrial, environment.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Odoo) and advanced MS Excel skills.
• Strong understanding of IFRS and local GAAP.
• Fluent in English and French; additional languages are a plus.
• Detail-oriented, analytical, and organized, with excellent teamwork skills in a fast-paced setting.
