Planet Pharma are partnered with one of our leading clients, who are seeking to hire a Legal, Compliance and Intellectual Property (LCIP) Business Analyst in Belgium, who can bridge the gap between the client’s tech solutions and the legal requirements of the organisation.


Purpose of the role


The purpose of this role is to bridge the Business Information Systems department and Legal, Compliance, and Intellectual Property (LCIP) teams by delivering tailored IT solutions that align with legal needs and regulatory requirements. It focuses on understanding LCIP priorities, managing technology implementations, and driving process improvements through effective stakeholder collaboration and business analysis.


Roles and responsibilities


  • Serve as the primary liaison between the BIS department and the LCIP stakeholders for technology solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with LCIP leaders, attorneys, and staff, particularly with understanding and setting technology expectations.
  • Conduct thorough analysis of legal processes, systems, and data to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement through technology solutions
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards in all IT solutions for the legal domain.
  • Manage ongoing SaaS solution lifecycle: enhancements, version releases, testing, etc.
  • Manage relationships with technology vendors


Candidate Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Legal Studies, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degree or certifications in Business Analysis, Project Management, or Legal Technology are preferred.
  • Proven experience (10 years) as a Business Relationship Manager, Business Analyst, or similar role within the BIS or similar department, with a focus on supporting legal operations within life science (essential).
  • Deep understanding of legal processes, regulations, compliance requirements, and industry standards.
  • Familiarity with leading SaaS solutions in the domain.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex legal requirements into practical IT solutions.
  • Experience in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Microsoft Project).
  • Proficiency in business analysis techniques esp. IIBA BABOK (e.g., requirements gathering, process modelling, data analysis).
