System Engineer

Position: System Engineer - DevOps
Location: Ghent, Belgium (Hybrid work model - 2 days onsite, flexible remote)

My client specialises in delivering robust IT solutions to their B2B customers. Their team is dedicated to implementing and maintaining systems that meet the unique needs of our clients, ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability. We are currently seeking a System Engineer who will play a critical role in supporting and advancing our infrastructure and systems.
Responsibilities:
Implement scalable and robust IT systems and infrastructure.
Monitor, maintain, and optimize system health and performance.
Troubleshoot and resolve system and network issues to ensure seamless operations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within scope.
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for systems and processes.
Requirements:
3-5 years of experience in system engineering.
Proficiency in operating systems (Windows Server, Windows OS).
Strong understanding of DevOps concepts (Kubernetes, Linux, Ansible, Terraform)
Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
Knowledge of cloud computing platforms (Office 365, Azure).
Proficiency in scripting and automation (PowerShell).
Familiarity with firewall and switch configuration is a plus (Fortinet, Aruba, Cisco Meraki).
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Familiarity with ITIL processes.
