Our client is a semiconductor company serving satcom and automotive markets.
Job description
We are looking for an ambitious VP of Sales to support the growth and company strategy. You will take the sales process to the next level and have a leading role in the business development and market strategy of all our projects. You will build long-term and successful relationships with the clients and partners e.g. in the satellite communication market, which is poised to grow rapidly in the coming years. We want you to help the company to be part of this growth.
Your responsibilities and challenges
- Develop sales and support channels and propose the right solutions to the customers.
- Thanks to your knowledge of the satcom ecosystem and your technical understanding of flat-panel arrays, you can match the products and services to customers.
- Drive the commercial launch of the upcoming active antenna module product for satellite communication.
- Build and manage a portfolio of customers for this new product.
- Expand the sales pipeline for customization projects for the internal, customizable IP platform and for other custom ASIC design projects
- You regularly provide forecasts for and updates of the business
- Prepare quotations and negotiate contracts with customers
- Represent the company and its satcom offerings at external fairs and exhibitions where satellite operators, antenna and system builders and component vendors meet.
Your profile
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (Master’s preferred).
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Proven track record in sales and marketing leadership within the semiconductor or ASIC industry.
- Good knowledge of the satcom ecosystem.
- Must have an entrepreneurial spirit and drive.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and strategic thinking skills.
- People management skills.
- Able to build and maintain a sales funnel.
- System level design knowledge of satcom systems and/or knowledge of the flat-panel satcom market is a plus.
- Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, can adequately judge risks, problem situations and opportunities.
- You thrive at all company levels, from R&D to C-level.
- Open to frequent travel.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken); other languages are an asset
