Yesterday, we had the pleasure of bringing together experts from Bulgaria, Greece, North Macedonia, and Romania for an insightful online session. The focus? Skills alignment, anticipating future needs, and ensuring effective evaluation of apprentices during their practical training. A key part of the discussion centered around embedding transversal, green, and digital skills into apprenticeship frameworks. These are crucial for shaping the workforce of tomorrow and ensuring that today’s apprentices are not only ready for current industry demands but are equipped to thrive in the future. ✨ Highlights from our discussion: ->We explored how formalized collaboration between VET institutions and employers can better align the skills gained during apprenticeships with national education standards. ->Trend analysis and expert input are vital for ensuring that digital, green, and transversal skills become core components of the WBL curriculum. ->There is a growing need for consistent tools that assess both technical and transversal skills, ensuring a holistic evaluation of apprentices. This session resulted in some powerful policy recommendations, pushing us one step closer to improving the alignment between education and industry needs across the region. A huge thank you to all our dedicated partners Modern Education Foundation, Macedonian Civic Education Center (MCEC) / Македонски центар за граѓанско образование (МЦГО), #NAVET, #MunicipalityofReșița and ΙΕΚ ΔΕΛΤΑ 360 - IEK DELTA 360, whose leadership in this activity has been invaluable.
