Bulgaria has solidified its position as a leader in the Balkans startup scene, climbing to 37th globally and maintaining its 23rd position in Europe, the only Balkan country to not have declined in ranking. Sofia, ranked 117th globally, stands out as the region's innovation hub, outpacing cities like Athens. From low corporate taxes and cost-effective operations to access to highly skilled tech talent, Bulgaria continues to provide fertile ground for startups. Additionally, support initiatives like the Startup Visa and programs by Invest Sofia are drawing foreign founders and businesses to the country. In an era of regional collaboration, Bulgaria's leadership in the Balkans ecosystem reflects the untapped potential of the region. What’s next for this burgeoning innovation hub? Endeavor Bulgaria reposted this
Big congrats to the three Endeavor companies who dont see the sky as a limit, they literally reach beyond it. We at Endeavor Bulgaria are immensely proud to provide the framework, resources and the shared vision in support of efforts of entrepreneurs like Raycho Raychev, founder of EnduroSat. This success reinforces the stamina and hope for others to follow. Give back and pay forward!
One launch, three Endeavor companies!!! 🚀 Earlier this week a SpaceX Falcon 9 launched from the United States Space Force base out of Vandenberg in Santa Barbara carrying 131 payloads, which is space terms refers to the elements specifically dedicated to producing mission data and then relaying that data back to Earth (ie. satellites). 🛰 Among the 131 payloads were the two lunar landers and a micro rover that have gotten a ton of coverage, BUT also a handful of satellites from several of our Endeavor entrepreneurs: ICEYE 🇵🇱🇫🇮, EnduroSat 🇧🇬 and D-Orbit 🇮🇹. 1️⃣ Co-founded in 2015 by polish national Rafal Modrzewski, ICEYE uses Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) satellites to deliver real-time, high-resolution, and on-demand images of Earth. 2️⃣ Founded in 2015 out of Bulgaria by Raycho Raychev, EnduroSat designs and engineers NanoSats and shared satellite services for business applications and space exploration missions. It is focused on inter-satellite connectivity and space data applications. 3️⃣ Based out of Fino Mornasco (Italy) in 2011 by Renato Panesi and Luca Rossettini, D-Orbit is a satellite technology provider for the traditional and new space sectors. It develops and supplies launching, decommissioning, and life extension devices to help satellite operators and agencies manage the end of their satellite’s life. Quite incredible to see Endeavor Poland, Endeavor Bulgaria and Endeavor Italy represented in this weeks headlines. 🤯
