The process involves a specialized coating that makes feathers antiallergenic and antimicrobial, preventing dust mites and microorganisms while increasing product durability. To support this, Naturtex implemented an automated production line for sorting, classifying, and processing used feathers, allowing them to standardize products from various international raw materials. This innovation not only reduces waste and promotes recycling but also improves production efficiency and quality control, with significant financial backing from the National Research, Development, and Innovation Fund. ♻️🔧 𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗕𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗳𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗲𝘀: 🔄 Recycling and Sustainability: the raw materials used (feathers and down) are recyclable and can be reused multiple times, contributing to a circular economy. This aligns with the sustainability goals of hotel chains and furniture retailers aiming to increase the proportion of products made from recycled materials. 🌿 Waste Reduction: by focusing on the reuse of feathers and down, Naturtex Ltd. helps reduce waste from manufacturing processes, thus minimizing the environmental impact associated with producing new raw materials. ⏳ Extended Product Lifespan: the development of a new coating that enhances the durability and longevity of the feathers and textiles allows for longer-lasting products, reducing the need for frequent replacements and therefore cutting down on resource use. 🌱 Antiallergenic and Antimicrobial Properties: the specialized coating provides antiallergenic and antimicrobial benefits, preventing the growth of dust mites and microorganisms.
