Alba has recently announced a strategic partnership with Comvision (India) Private Limited. This collaboration aims to enhance Alba’s inventory management and tracking systems through the implementation of cutting-edge technology. Moreover, Alba and Comvision have entered into a Joint Development and Marketing Agreement to further enhance the inventory management solution. The jointly developed product labelled ‘Albavision’ will be marketed and licensed by Comvision, with Alba receiving a share of the revenue from these sales. In celebration of Bahrain National Day, Alba organised a Family Day for all employees and their families at Adhari Park on Monday 16 December 2024. The event was graced by the presence of Alba Executives and Management, along with representatives from the two Union bodies. Alba marked the Anniversary of the Kingdom’s National Day and His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s Accession to the throne on 12 December 2024 at the HRH Princess Sabeeka’s Oasis in Alba. Attended by Alba’s Executives, Directors, Managers and employees, the celebration featured various activities, including a photo booth, Arabian hospitality, performance by a traditional Bahraini band, as well as live cooking of traditional food and sweets. In recognition of its commitment to sustainable practices, Alba received the ‘Green Factory Seal’ from the Ministry of Industry and Commerce. Alba’s Chief Power Officer Amin Sultan received the Seal, on behalf of Alba, from HE Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce, during a special ceremony organised by the Ministry at its headquarters on 08 December 2024. At the ICSOBA 2024 International Conference and Exhibition, organised by the International Committee for the Study of Bauxite, Alumina, and Aluminium, along with Rio Tinto’s AP Technology Users Club Meeting, both recently held in Lyon, France, we proudly showcased Aluminium Bahrain advancements through five technical papers and presentations covering our potlines and carbon operations. Led by our COO, Dr. Abdulla Habib Ebrahim, the Alba team provided insights into key initiatives, including the role of the Forced Cooling Network in boosting production capacity at Reduction Lines 4 & 5 and the NOx emissions efforts at our Kilns 5 plant.
