Did you know that here in Brazil, at CINE, we are developing technologies for the future of #photovoltaic #solarenergy? Our researchers are working with perovskite solar cells, which stand out for being flexible and transparent and for their low-cost and low-environmental-impact manufacturing. Using cutting-edge science, we are improving the efficiency and durability of this technology, and studying the adaptations that are necessary for industrial scale production, in order to meet the growing demand of the national photovoltaic market. The Principal Investigator of our solar energy research is Professor Ana Flavia Nogueira (Unicamp). #renewableenergy #energytransition #decarbonization #brazilianscience

Yesterday, CINE's headquarters at Unicamp welcomed around 60 people to celebrate a new agreement. Over the next 5 years, CINE researchers will carry out 15 new research projects on technologies for #SolarEnergy and #WindPower generation, #EnergyStorage and #GreenHydrogen production. The aim of the studies is to make these technologies more efficient, economical and sustainable. To this end, we have investments of R$82.4 million from Shell and FAPESP and the scientific leadership of our groups at Universidade Estadual de Campinas, Universidade de São Paulo and Universidade Federal de São Carlos - UFSCar Oficial. The ceremony was attended by representatives from universities, companies and government, as well as the regional press. We are very happy to start this new phase with new energies!😉 #renewableenergy #batteries #energytransition #decarbonization #solarcells #brazilianscience

The Netherlands Hydrogen Innovation Mission Brazil was here! On October 9, we had the honor of receiving a Dutch delegation as part of the mission organized by the Innovatie Attaché Netwerk Brazilië / Netherlands Innovation Attaché Network Brazil . This initiative is a milestone in bilateral cooperation between Brazil and the Netherlands to seek solutions for the production, transportation, and application of #hydrogen. The meeting, which was held at Unicamp, was attended by 17 people from the delegation (including representatives from companies, research institutions, and the government of the Netherlands) and eight members of CINE. CINE researchers Flavio Leandro de Souza (CNPEM) and Ernesto Pereira (UFSCar) presented research results on #LowcarbonHydrogen, and the delegation was then led on a visit to CNPEM laboratories. The meeting promoted the exchange of knowledge and good practices and helped map out possible partnerships between the two countries. #energytransition #greenhydrogen #brazilianscience

This month we had the pleasure of receiving at our headquarters the visit from representatives of the Center for Energy Planning - NIPE and the Coordination of Interdisciplinary Research Centers and Nuclei - COCEN, both from Unicamp. The meeting reaffirmed CINE's commitment to expanding the synergy between research and innovation in the field of renewable energy through partnerships. We would like to thank Raluca Savu (COCEN coordinator), Ana Lucia dos Santos Coutinho (COCEN) and Bruna de Souza Moraes (NIPE coordinator) for their presence. #renewableenergy #energytransition #decarbonization #brazilianscience

Here at CINE, we always say that #collaboration between different sectors of society and countries around the world is essential for the #EnergyTransition to happen. That's why our headquarters is always open to people from universities, companies, government... Today we would like to record and thank the visit of Andréia Ambrozin and Leticia Monteiro (Bayer), Carolina Vieira, Rebecca Maia and Tatiana Rocha (ExxonMobil), Prof. Frank Osterloh (UC Davis, USA), Prof. Gaël Ung (University of Connecticut, USA) and Prof. Eva Hemmer (University of Ottawa, Canada). We hope to continue in touch!🙂 #renewableenergy #decarbonization #brazilianscience
