I'm heading back from Miami, inspired by the incredible opportunity to learn, unlearn, and relearn through Future Skills from Hyper Island North America I had the privilege of experiencing the full program: three days of immersive learning packed with activities on innovation, creativity, leadership, and countless other valuable, practical themes. Obviously, I expected that the participants in this kind of program would be eager to share and grow, but I was blown away by the sheer depth of knowledge and experience exchanged - not just with my fellow participants but also with the fantastic team at Hyper Island. What left a lasting impression was their humility - especially from those with LinkedIn profiles boasting impressive titles and fancy names. It’s important to me to highlight that this opportunity came to me through Latinas do BEM through Andrea Siqueira and Tim Lucas. For some time now, I’ve been part of this incredible collective of senior women, which offers a space for reflection, growth, and joy for both mentees and mentors. Last semester, I had the chance to learn from my mentor, Thais Hagge, and it was exactly what I needed to reflect on my career trajectory. As we all know and feel, Latina women face the widest wage gap in the United States - a reality that scares me and my fellow creative women. I hope to define and redefine creativity countless times. But for now, I believe its essence lies in bringing together diverse perspectives to ignite it. After all, how can we expect different results if we keep bringing the same voices to the table? Beyond the personal growth, I’m excited to return home with lessons in leadership, anticipating and navigating change, crafting impactful stories, and fostering collaboration to drive innovation. I’m fortunate to say that my inner child is alive and well, a spark that has guided me on this learning journey—and will continue to fuel my path forward. Thank you, truly.
