We are very proud to announce that Penta-Ocean Construction Company Limited's new heavy lift vessel will feature a 5,000mt Huisman Tub Mounted Crane and a state-of-the-art monopile handling system. Designed with a holistic approach together with Penta-Ocean Construction and Ulstein Design & Solutions B.V., the vessel's innovative U-shaped stern enables the installation of monopiles and foundations with unmatched precision. The monopiles are stored lengthwise on the vessel, and the integrated upending system allows seamless handling from storage to installation, minimising lifting operations and enhancing safety, workability, and efficiency. We’ve signed a contract to deliver a 100mt Pedestal Mounted Crane to Eastern Navigation Pte Ltd, a leading maritime support provider in the Asian-Pacific offshore energy industry. This will be the fifth Huisman crane for their fleet, following the proven performance of their 300mt and 100mt cranes, as well as another 100mt model currently under construction for mid-2025 delivery. We successfully demonstrated the cutting-edge wire saw we are co-developing with Circular Maritime Technologies (CMT International b.v.) This advanced wire saw is a cornerstone of a groundbreaking technology designed to enable sustainable ship dismantling. The innovative solution offers a circular, safe, and cost-effective alternative to traditional shipbreaking methods, aligning with global efforts toward sustainability. Among the guests were maritime cabinet envoy Kees van der Staaij and South Holland Deputy Arne Weverling. They joined us for a tour on our premises in Schiedam (NL), where we showcased our commitment to driving innovation in the maritime industry.
