  • 📣 As we welcome 2025, InPlanet is thrilled to announce that today we have made history - together with our partners, we are now the first climate tech company to deliver certified carbon removal credits using Enhanced Rock Weathering! 🔬 After a deeply rigourous process, the credits were verified by Isometric, delivered to Adyen, facilitated by ClimeFi. This marks a significant milestone for the industry as it opens up a pathway to new, high-quality, permanent carbon removal technologies. This is crucial for scaling CDR at present and in the near future. 🌎 These first ERW credits prove this carbon removal process can safely accelerate to a human-relevant time and scale. We couldn't be more excited to celebrate this moment with you as we begin 2025. 🚀 For the full release, visit: https://lnkd.in/eVNwvHrg

  • Happy Friday! Celebrating a productive day with our Science, Operations and Product Teams on site at one of our farming partners' citrus farms in Brazil. Ensuring deep alignment across our teams and with our stakeholders is critical to our work in regenerative agriculture - we are passionate about helping farmers to transition to a low carbon, sustainable agriculture.

🧊 What do Enhanced Rock Weathering and The Coca-Cola Company have in common? Both have Life Cycle Assessments. 💡Understanding the LCA is essential for businesses aiming to drive sustainable growth. Our Science and Impact Lead, Dr. Philipp Swoboda shares more: “An LCA aims to measure the environmental impacts of a product or process. For example, a product could be a bottle of Coca-Cola, while a process could be the application of InPlanet’s rock powder. 🌎 While our business focuses on sequestering CO₂, the entire process—including grinding the rock, processing it, transporting it, and spreading it on fields—also emits CO₂. Ultimately, we aim to quantify the net CO₂ removal.” 🔎 Curious about LCAs? Dive into our latest blog at the link in comments.

  • 🌎 Understanding the Verification Process for ERW Carbon Credits 🚀 At InPlanet, we are proud to announce the world's first certified Enhanced Rock Weathering (ERW) carbon credits! But what does this mean, and how does the verification process work? 🔬 Our carbon credits undergo a meticulous verification process, ensuring transparency and credibility. This involves assessing our methodologies and measuring the actual CO₂ captured through ERW. Independent third-party validators analyze our data, ensuring compliance with rigorous standards before issuing carbon credits. 📈 By adhering to these stringent verification protocols, we solidify trust in the voluntary carbon market. • 🌱 More Nutrients, Less Cost: How ERW Enhances Soil Fertility 🌍 Soil health is foundational to productive farming and improving it can lead to significant benefits, not just for crops but for our environment as well. In today’s agriculture landscape, the push for profitability and sustainability has never been more critical. 🚜 How can farmers reduce their reliance on chemical fertilizers while simultaneously enhancing soil fertility and capturing carbon? One strategy that stands out is the use of Enhanced Rock Weathering (ERW). 📈 The outcome? Increased soil fertility, reduced fertilizer costs, and a more resilient agricultural system that plays a crucial role in carbon sequestration. ✨As we look to the future, it’s essential for farmers and stakeholders alike to embrace these innovative practices. Together, we can achieve more nutrition from less cost, benefiting both our farms and our planet. Let’s make every acre count! Read more at the link in comments. #SoilHealth #AgTech

🔍 Understanding the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) is vital for businesses aiming to reduce their environmental footprint. At InPlanet, we apply LCA methodologies to our Enhanced Rock Weathering (ERW) projects, allowing us to measure CO₂ emissions from every stage of our process—raw material sourcing, processing, transportation, and application on agricultural fields. 🔬 Dr. Philipp Swoboda emphasizes that the heart of LCA lies in defining a functional unit that allows for fair comparisons across various products and processes. For us, this unit is one dry metric ton of basalt powder. 💡 By systematically analyzing each step, we are not only improving our approach but also paving the way for greater accountability and trust in the voluntary carbon market.
