Teams currently compete in 11 vs. 11 soccer matches (6 vs. 6 in Div. B). The robots must fit within an 18 cm diameter circle and must be no higher than 15 cm. The robots play soccer with an orange golf ball on a green carpeted field that is about 12 m long by 9 m wide. Participating researchers focus on algorithmic development for fully autonomous robots in the main competition while developing individual skills measured in various technical challenges. The SPL robot soccer team competition games at RoboCup 2025 will be played between teams of fully autonomous NAO robots. The RoboCup 2025 SPL will host a soccer team competition, several technical challenges and introduce longterm leaderboards. It is based on the RoboCup Soccer Simulator that enables two teams of 11 simulated autonomous robots plus an autonomous coach agent to play a soccer game with very realistic rules and gameplay. Due to its stability, the RoboCup Soccer Simulator is an outstanding research and educational tool for multiagent systems, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. Na het succes van 2013 kregen we van de RoboCup Federation opnieuw het vertrouwen om dit bijzondere evenement te mogen organiseren. Dit zouden we nooit hebben kunnen realiseren zonder de steun van onze belangrijkste sponsoren: Technische Universiteit Eindhoven, Provincie Noord-Brabant, Gemeente Eindhoven, ASML, and VDL Groep. Daarnaast zorgden het organisatieteam en de vrijwilligers ervoor dat alles op rolletjes liep. Maar natuurlijk zou dit evenement helemaal niets zijn geweest zonder de enthousiaste deelnemers van de Junior League en Major League en hun autonome robots. Zij toverden 5 dagen lang een lach op het gezicht van duizenden bezoekers en maakten hiermee RoboCup 2024 tot een onvergetelijk wereldkampioenschap. Voor ons zijn zij allemaal winnaars, maar we willen de kampioenen in het bijzonder feliciteren. Hun innovatie, doorzettingsvermogen en teamgeest zijn een inspiratie voor ons allemaal. We kijken ernaar uit om hen en nieuwe talenten te zien schitteren tijdens de RoboCup 2025 in Salvador, Brazilië. Temperaturen van boven de 30 graden en toch kiezen mensen er massaal voor om hun dag door te brengen op het RoboCup evenement.☀ Uit het grote aantal bezoekers blijkt dat techniek niet langer als saai wordt gezien, maar als uitdagend en spannend. Hoe gaaf is het ook als je door jouw programmeerwerk een robot autonoom kunt laten bewegen. De jonge deelnemers hebben zichtbaar plezier met hun robots en stralen een aanstekelijke passie uit voor de technische opleiding die ze volgen. In een snel veranderende wereld is innovatie onmisbaar. Zij zijn de ingenieurs van de toekomst die de wereld zullen transformeren met hun innovatieve ideeën.🤖 Morgen alweer de laatste dag, mis het niet en koop je ticket op robocup2024.nl     Temperatures above 30 degrees and yet people choose en masse to spend their day at the RoboCup event.☀ The large number of visitors shows that technology is no longer seen as boring, but as challenging and exciting.
