During a recent visit to Brasília, last week, 🇸🇬 Singapore's Speaker of Parliament emphasized Brazil's leadership, stating: "Singapore welcomes the Brazilian Presidency's strong focus on reducing global hunger and poverty, including the initiative of a Global Alliance against Hunger and Poverty. Catalysing the growth of Singapore as a global trade hub.   Deputy Prime Minister Gan Kim Yong launched the Carbon Markets Academy at the Financial Times Commodities Asia Summit 2024 yesterday.   A partnership between Enterprise Singapore, Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB) and Nanyang Technological University Singapore Technological University, the Academy will train and upskill 300 professionals by 2027 to support the growth of the carbon services and trading sector. A Brazilian showcase right here in Singapore. Last week, the Americas team at Enterprise Singapore hosted the Brazil Demo Day 2024 in partnership with the Embassy of Brazil in Singapore and World Intellectual Property Organization – WIPO. The event spotlighted nine cutting-edge Brazilian #startups from foodtech, agritech, biotech and greentech to #AI. Two of the nine startups were even selected to be in the top 50 for #SLINGSHOT 2024 at the Singapore Week of Innovation and Technology (SWITCH)! Special thanks to our panellists (Anton Wibowo, Derek Neo, Ryan Rakestraw and John Lee!), our partners from the Embassy of Brazil (Julia Salles Amaral and Patricia Calazans A. M. Fortalecendo as relações entre Brasil e Singapura, recebemos o ministro da Indústria e Comércio de Singapura, Alvin Tan, e sua delegação em nosso escritório de São Paulo no fim de setembro. O encontro marcou o início das atividades do Grupo de Amizade Singapura-Brasil (Singapore-Brazil Friendship Group), do qual Ronaldo Veirano foi convidado para ser membro fundador, que visa intensificar os laços comerciais entre os dois países, fomentar negócios e expandir investimentos bilaterais. Na ocasião, nosso sócio fundador Ronaldo Veirano representou o #TimeVeirano ao lado do sócio Gustavo Moraes Stolagli, e da associada Ana Beatriz Bomtorin Boucault. Essa iniciativa liderada pelo Veirano Advogados reforça as relações entre as duas nações, abrindo portas para novas oportunidades e parcerias. Estamos orgulhosos de fazer parte desse projeto.   --   Strengthening ties between Brazil and Singapore, we welcomed Singapore’s Minister for Trade and Industry, Alvin Tan, and his delegation to our São Paulo office at the end of September.   The meeting marked the launch of the Singapore-Brazil Friendship Group (Grupo de Amizade Singapura-Brasil), of which Ronaldo Veirano was invited to be a founding member, which aims to deepen commercial ties between the two countries, foster business, and expand bilateral investments. On this occasion, our founding partner Ronaldo Veirano represented #TeamVeirano, alongside partner Gustavo Moraes Stolagli and associate Ana Beatriz Bomtorin Boucault.   This initiative, led by Veirano Advogados, reinforces relations between the two nations, opening doors to new opportunities and partnerships. We are proud to be part of this project.
