Small piece of advice for you at Christmas Time: 🎄 "Be as gentle to you as you would be to a child who asks for your help". 👩🍼 When we approach the end of the year, we usually take this huge "wishlist" we made in December 2023, to assess how successful we were in achieving our goals for the year. Some of us are lucky and satisfied enough to confirm they did a great year. Some are not. Anyhow, if you are reading this you are successful. You made through 2024. You are alive. You learnt, you had good moments, you give others good moments. Let's celebrate the small and sometimes invisible achievements. As I heard once, high expectations are overrated (and cruel) sometimes. Merry Christmas! 🎅

  • For companies, it would cost almost "a candy a day per employee" to attract and keep engaged teams. And it pays off: Engaged teams lead to: 🌟 31% lower turnover rates 🌟 80% customer retention rate 🌟 up to 30% increase in productivity 🌟 up to 50% increase in profitability (in commercial teams) But lack of intentional actions towards that pays a toll: 👎 77% of employees worldwide feel disengaged at work 👎 over 50% of Gen Z reported feeling stressed at work 👎 over US250bi are spent yearly in costs related to burn out How long is going to take for companies to understand their strategy won't take them where they aim to be in a few years? ⁉️ #mentalhealth, #futureofwork, #engagement, #profitability, #wellbeing, #burnout

  • Sharing a Good Practice Women not only face challenges in finding their place in the workplace in a fair and equitable way, but they also often contend with a tendency to place excessive demands on themselves. Highlighting topics that have traditionally been overlooked—such as menopause—has the potential to foster empathy and understanding for a very real condition that significantly impacts our well-being and drive to succeed. • 🌍 Conflicts Among Generations, we always faced them! 🌍 We hear a lot about Gen X, Gen Y/Millennials, and Gen Z, and all the buzz surrounding how we work together. But the truth is, we've probably been collaborating for a long time! I remember being just 18 and working alongside a 70-year-old lawyer. 👩⚖️✨ I don't want to dive too deep into this topic here, as it deserves more space, but one simple truth stands out: yes, generations have different perspectives. This isn't just about age; it's also shaped by varying economic, social, political, and global contexts that shift our priorities in life. We’ve all been young, curious, and full of big dreams. As we grow older, we become more mature, and our perspectives evolve. Let’s not forget that we once walked in the shoes of other generations. 👣💭 I suggest we focus more on our challenges in relating to different types of interactions—like gender, creed, and social background. In my view, thriving in solving conflicts among differing beliefs poses more challenges than those arising from age differences. 🤝💬 #Ageism #ConflictManagement #OrganizationalCulture #WellBeing #MentalHealth P.S. This is me and my nephew from a long time ago—probably three generations apart! 🌟 Who knows, we might work together one day!

  • ✨ Trust: The Foundation of Connection ✨ Consider your life: How do you build trust? How do you trust someone? 🤔 Certain words likely come to mind: safety, consistency, credibility. 💡 We trust someone when we feel safe around them, when their actions match their words, and when their behavior consistently aligns with their values. But here’s the real question: How are we reflecting these traits in our workplace? 🌱 It’s easy to look up the ladder and point out gaps in trust. But remember: everyone climbing that ladder started where you are now. ⬆️ 🔑 Trust takes time. 🔑 Credibility is earned. 🔑 Consistency means staying true to yourself—and being honest when you need to adapt for a greater good. Let’s make trust more visible in our workplaces, starting with us. 🌟 #Wellbeing 💕 #MentalHealth 🧠 #FutureOfWork 🚀 https://lnkd.in/ev7KBMgS

  • Good morning! ☀️ Sharing a few thoughts for us to reflect on in our professional world: 💬 If we are moving towards a skill-based profile to navigate these incredibly changing times, why do 99% of job postings on this network consist of endless bullets outlining “responsibilities,” yet offer only few words on what it truly takes to fulfill them? 💬 If companies are able to boost their profitability by up to 80% with healthier workforces, why do so many corporate environments remain stressful and toxic? 😟 💬 If worldwide surveys show that two-thirds of employees report feeling stressed at work, why do studies indicate they still prioritize career growth and salary over a workplace that offers balance (both physical and mental)? 💬 According to the World Health Organization, one in two people will experience a mental illness, and a significant portion of stress comes from workplace conflicts. Why aren’t we paying closer attention to how we interact with others? Sometimes, we might be the toxic person without even realizing it. 😔 Finally, if, unfortunately, we can’t have it all (at least for now), why aren’t we more aligned with our priorities and aware of the trade-offs we make? Perhaps we would fare better if we focused on what truly matters to us and committed our efforts to preserve and protect it—both as individuals and as organizations. The intention here is not to see the cup half empty, but rather to encourage us to reflect on the daily decisions we make that can either lead us to well-being or total disconnection from ourselves. Wishing you all a wonderful day! 🌟 #wellbeing, #burnout, #conflictmanagement, #mentalhealth

It’s interesting to see so many articles about AI highlighting gains in productivity, efficiency, and more free time for creativity, as we can now delegate mundane tasks to it. 🤖✨ This reminds me of the arguments made when PCs started appearing in offices during the 80s and 90s. 🖥️📊 More than 30 years later, we still hear millions of professionals complaining about long working hours and burnout. 😩🔥 So yes, we’re definitely doing more, but probably with fewer resources. This makes me think that efficiency, productivity, and free time can only coexist if we balance the greed to extract maximum profit from resources (whether human or not). ⚖️💼 I’m doing my part—trying to ride the AI wave 🌊 and even learning some programming along the way, though with not-so-great results so far. 😅💻
