Our room quite large but, lots of dust all over the floor as there was a big construction behind our room. The hotel continued to built the new phases. There are lots of steps and quite a long walk from the hotel lobby to the room. The advantage for staying here, the hotel guest can enjoy taking photos before and after all the tourists gone. Variety of food for the breakfast buffet. Check in and check out quite quick and easy. The room rate is higher than the outside valley for triple but more convenience. Not much privacy as the hotel was one part of the valley, all the tourists can walk around the hotel too.

The carpool service from the Shangrao railway station to the hotel costs 35 yuan per person. The driver is so nice as well. All took care of us like we are in their family. So much appreciated. There is a pickup and send service between the hotel and the village. About 10 minutes for a ride. The front of the hotel looks like so so. But the decoration of the room is amazing. Gonna give high recommendation to anyone who are planning to visit this ancient village. The great month to travel is July to September. I went there in early June. It was raining so there was no special show inside the village and the beautiful scenery is covered by the fog and clouds.

There were 3 of us, and we stayed in a 2 bed room, which was extremely spacious and clean. The owner himself took us to the Wangxian Valley scenic spot, picked us up, and took us to a great breakfast place the next morning. Also, he was 100% all the time in touch with us, making sure we were good. We definitely recommend this place. Super clean, comfortable, spacious, good food, and amazing service.

Stayed here in end Oct. Ji Hotel entrance is just beside Mercure Hotel entrance, so don’t enter the wrong one. Comfortable bed with double pillows and the only hotel (out of 5 we stayed in this trip) that provided fridge and free mini bar in the room. Good breakfast spread and quality with local specialities like jar soup and noodles. However, the air conditioning in the room wasn’t working properly, so the room was warm and stuffy. When we called the reception about it, we were given a silly excuse and a standing fan which was dusty and not standing straight. Not only did they not bother to wipe the dust off the fan before letting us use it, the staff who brought the fan to our room was impolite and left the fan at the door expecting us to move the dusty fan into the room ourselves. This is not the service standard we expect from Mercure. They gave us 2 packs of local noodles as gifts to make up for the unpleasant experience when we complained about it during check out

It is no problem at all. I think this is the best hotel if you are looking for the hotel not far from train station. The break fast is ok for money we pay.
