In commemoration of International Men’s Day, we engaged in honest conversations about masculinity, empowerment, and the importance of support systems this Friday afternoon. The session highlighted how societal changes have impacted men, emphasising the need to grow and nurture both men and women together. Among other key elements, we discussed the importance of men taking control of their emotional well-being and seeking constructive, informed support. Challenging the notion that "men don't talk," by encouraging dialogue with trusted mentors and professional counsellors. Let’s commit to doing life together: men and women building a society where everyone thrives.  #MentalHealthMatters #BuildingForever

As Botswana navigates the complexities of its diamond industry, the education of its young people becomes vital. Teaching students about the socioeconomic impact of diamonds can foster a sense of stewardship and innovation.   We offered students from Matsheng Junior School in Sojwe Village, a one-of-a-kind opportunity to learn more about natural diamonds. The students expressed what this natural resource means to them   "Exploring these valuable stones was truly amazing; this trip has left my heart white with joy." I've used this as a chance to shape my future goals; enrolling in a field related to engineering. I was amazed by the science and technology we saw there, not just the diamonds”, said Kutlo.   "Diamonds are very important to our economy because they bring in money, create many jobs, and help people learn new skills." Seeing that Batswana worked there gave me hope that I could one day work there too. All thanks to diamonds, I was excited to take my first trip to the city. I was born and raised in the Kweneng district and I had never been to Gaborone”, said Lesedi   #BuildingForever #NaturalDiamonds #Education #CommunityEngagement #DeBeersGroup

Welcome To The Network: Panel Discussion   Four business leaders who completed the Stanford Seed Transformation Program (STP) in collaboration with De Beers Group shared key insights from their transformation journeys at the 6th cohort ‘Welcome to the Network’ event.   Kwenantle Farmers' Managing Director, Lembie Tlhalerwa, reflected on her company's progress, stating that, with the knowledge gained from Stanford Seed, the business “has seen growth in its ability to enter new markets, the retail space, and more recently, growth in terms of revenue and impact.”   Arona Natural Foods’ Managing Director, Fannie Gwizi, shared a similar experience: “Stanford Seed came through and they told us what we were doing right and wrong. Sometimes we urged with them but they said we should trust the process.”   Often, businesses need the right guidance to unlock their potential. “The Seed Program came in at the right time for our business. We were at a stage where we were very stagnant and the Program made us realise where the growth really lies,” said Nomsa Moyo, CEO of Sasa Interiors.   “The most important thing is understanding culture, people, and leadership,” emphasised Ebrahim Mohamed, Co-Founder of 03 Beverages. #DeBeers #StanfordSeed #BusinessEmpowerment #SustainableImpact
