The world has one more giraffe today than it did yesterday! It is not often that you witness a giraffe birth in the wild as our team did in Botswana’s Northern Tuli Game Reserve. Baby giraffe are born equipped with special features to aid their passage into the world, such as soft ossicones and smooth ‘booties’ that cover their usually sharp-edged hooves to protect the mother during birth. With new additions like this one, we remain hopeful for the future of these iconic creatures. EarthRanger, Wild Me, Mashatu Game Reserve, Natural Selection Travel, Wild at Tulli.

The Tuli Conservation Trust is pleased to announce that it is supporting the Land of Giants Cycle Tour from 1-4 May 2024 in the Northern Tuli Game Reserve in south-East Botswana. The event is being organised and hosted by the team behind Mashatu Game Reserve, the largest landowner in the reserve, and the Tuli Conservation Trust. In order to support the Tuli Conservation Trust a group of more than 40 riders from Europe, incl. the UK, Switzerland, Norway, Sweden and Germany as well as from Southern Africa are embarking on a once-in-a-lifetime trip to cycle 150 km over three days in Mashatu Game Reserve.
