Today is International Computer Security Day—a reminder that cyber resilience isn’t a one-time achievement but an ongoing journey. Safeguarding our digital ecosystems requires continuous awareness, collaboration, and a proactive approach to counter evolving threats. 🔍 A Rapidly Changing Threat Landscape 2023 brought with it a stark 60% increase in interactive intrusion campaigns, with a staggering 73% jump in the latter half of the year alone. The speed of these attacks is alarming: On average, cybercriminals now take just 62 minutes to break through defenses—down from 84 minutes in 2022. The fastest breach time recorded? An astonishing 2 minutes and 7 seconds. ☁️ Cloud Under Siege With organizations racing to move to the cloud, cybercriminals are following suit. Intrusions in cloud environments surged by 75%, as cyber-actors crafted sophisticated attacks aimed at cloud-conscious and cloud-agnostic targets alike. 🚨 Ransomware, Trojans, and Information Theft The three most pervasive threats remain information stealers, Trojans, and ransomware, with monthly blocks in the hundreds of millions. The sheer volume highlights how essential robust defenses are for safeguarding sensitive data. 🏛️ Cyber as a Board-Level Priority More than ever, cybersecurity is moving from IT to the boardroom. 70% of board members now regularly discuss cyber issues, recognizing the profound impact of cybersecurity on business continuity. And while 77% of executives say they’re confident in addressing risks like generative AI, over 90% of leaders agree that urgent action is needed, particularly as small to mid-sized enterprises struggle to meet resilience standards. 🔗 The Supply Chain Conundrum Amid all these challenges, 54% of organizations admit to an insufficient grasp of cyber vulnerabilities in their supply chain—a risk that grows as digital interconnectivity expands. At Brimit, we create custom IoT solutions and work with Salesforce, Sitecore, and Microsoft 365 technologies. Let’s examine how these tech giants deal with cybersecurity challenges as they evolve. #Cybersecurity #DataProtection #DigitalTransformation #Salesforce #Sitecore #Microsoft365

Our Lead Data Architect Andrei K. shares insights from Big Data Conference Europe 2024: The event brought together top minds in data architecture and processing to tackle shared challenges and explore cutting-edge solutions. Highlights included thought-provoking talks from Jesse Anderson (Big Data Institute) and Boris Nikolai Konrad (Donders Institute for Brain, Cognition, and Behaviour). Here are my key takeaways from the event. 𝐄𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐞 𝐀𝐈 𝐒𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 The focus is shifting toward enterprise AI systems—building business processes around them to enable seamless data exchange and collaboration. These systems are poised to address complex business challenges in powerful new ways. 𝐑𝐨𝐛𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐀𝐮𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝐑𝐏𝐀) RPA stood out as a game-changing technology for automating routine tasks and enhancing operational efficiency. It was my first deep dive into RPA—and the potential looks promising! 𝐄𝐦𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐈 𝐀𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬 𝐎𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 AI adoption is picking up steam at the employee level. Interestingly, higher-level executives seem slower to embrace it. But as GPT-like systems and other AI tools gain traction, ignoring them could mean losing your competitive edge. Many thanks to the organizers, speakers, and participants for creating an unforgettable experience! #BigData #AI #RPA #Innovation #DataArchitecture
