The AAPG Orphan, Abandoned, Idle, and Marginal Wells Conference wrapped up yesterday, and we were proud to have Adam Derry, P. Eng, Director of Engineering at 360, share his expertise with attendees. Adam’s presentation, "Best Practices for Well Plugging in Densely Populated Environments: Minimizing Risk and Impact," explored real-world challenges and solutions for decommissioning wells in high-risk areas. One of the key projects discussed in his presentation was our work in Wheatley, ON, where an undetected gas leak led to a devastating explosion in 2021. Our team played a critical role in investigating the source, managing the response, and developing a long-term mitigation plan. Check out the full case study below to learn more about the challenges and lessons from this project. A huge thank you to the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG) for organizing a fantastic conference, and to our booth partners at Well Done Foundation for sharing their space with us. It was great connecting with so many industry professionals dedicated to responsible well management! #ShapingaBetterFuture #AAPG

JANUARY INSIGHT: Happy 2025! Our first insight of the year is by 360's Director of Engineering, Adam Derry, P. Eng. Adam summarizes key learnings and ways his team has adapted to challenges in the complex world of federally funded Site Closure Programs. Grant programs involve many stakeholders and rigorous processes that can differ from working directly for industry. From community engagement, application process, project planning, and KPI tracking - understanding each nuance in the program is critical to success. The 360 team had a lot of valuable experience during the federally funded oil and gas cleanup programs across BC, Alberta, and Saskatchewan from 2020 - 2023. We have now been able to bring these learnings south of the border for programs such as the Inflation Reduction Act's Methane Emissions Reduction Program (MERP), currently being rolled out in several energy producing states with aging assets. Any questions or support needed with the #MERP program and how it is being administered in your state, please reach out to your 360 Engineering & Environmental representative! #SiteClosure #Liability #MethaneReduction #ARO #Grants #FederalFunding https://lnkd.in/gyA6TtNz

While mental health should always be part of our daily conversations, sometimes we all need a little reminder to keep the dialogue flowing. Today, on Bell Let's Talk Day, we have the perfect opportunity to reignite that important conversation. This year, Bell Let's Talk is shining a spotlight on youth mental health. It’s a crucial time in life when mental health challenges often begin, making early support and intervention key to preventing bigger struggles down the road. Addressing mental health at this stage is not just important—it can be life-changing. As part of our ongoing efforts to make a positive impact, 360 is making a donation to Kids Help Phone. Together, we can continue making meaningful contributions to youth mental health and build a culture of care and support within our community. Let’s keep the conversation going. It matters. Today, Bell will be matching $5 donations which can be made by simply texting YOUTH to 45678.
