At this year’s EAIE: European Association for International Education conference, ABIE's Executive Director Raynie Wood, PhD and Board Chair David G Ross had the pleasure of hosting Experience Alberta, a global reception located at the stunning Château de Merville in France. Experience Alberta was an evening of networking and connections, launching #ABIE on the international stage to showcase #highereducation in #Alberta and create opportunities for Albertan students. Alongside #Alberta ABIE member organizations and Rajan Sawhney, Minister for Advanced Education, Government of Alberta, ABIE welcomed guests and delegations from across the globe. ABIE is highly grateful to the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) for co-sponsoring this event and to everyone who attended. Roll on #EAIE2025 and ABIE’s national reception at #CBIE2024! #AlbertaEducation #internationaleducation

🌍 Exciting News from the Alberta Post-Secondary Institutions! We recently had the privilege of participating in the EAIE: European Association for International Education Conference in Toulouse, where we explored the internationalization of higher education. This event also provided a fantastic platform for Alberta Bureau for International Education to launch. It’s been an amazing experience connecting with global peers, sharing insights, and fostering collaboration. The knowledge exchange and partnership opportunities we encountered will undoubtedly enhance our efforts in promoting international education, applied research and enriching our students' experiences. Together, we can pave the way for a more connected and inclusive academic community. #HigherEd #Internationalization #EAIE2024 #AlbertaEducation #Collaboration #AppliedResearch

Congratulations to Red Deer Polytechnic on forging new international partnership agreements at this year's EAIE: European Association for International Education conference! #alberta #internationaleducation #canada #EAIE2024 #ABIE
Yesterday, supported by Government of Alberta, Advanced Education Minister Rajan Sawhney, Red Deer Polytechnic signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Hochschule Bielefeld toward a new partnership, and a Letter of Intent with Europa-Universität Flensburg to expand our existing partnership. Both will provide opportunities for student and faculty exchanges, collaborative academic program delivery and applied research. We held our event in concert with the Experience Alberta reception hosted by Alberta Bureau for International Education and Executive Director Raynie Wood, PhD, at the EAIE: European Association for International Education Annual Conference. #myrdo #abpse #EAIE2024
