Last Thursday, November 28th, our Operations Manager, Matthew Holodinsky, and Drone Test Pilot, Brandon Thomas, visited the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) to present to a class of enthusiastic students and showcase RoBird™. 🦅 It was a fantastic opportunity to #inspire and educate the next generation of drone pilots. “It went really well. The students were very fascinated with AERIUM as a whole. The RoBird and Operations side of the company really captured their interest. There were great questions from the instructors and students, which led to some insightful discussions after the presentation,” shared Matthew about the session. The presentation highlighted the diverse #opportunities in the world of drones and their unique applications across various industries, offering something for everyone. 🤝 A big thank you to Sarah Kades Graham for organizing the session, and to Allister Schreiber and Stephanie Hogewoning for your support. Shoutout to all the #students for making this extraordinary afternoon possible as well! 👏 We’re looking forward to the next one! #drones #dronesforgood #RoBird #class #SAIT #hereatsait #technology #innovation #agriculture

Earlier this month, our Operations Manager, Matthew Holodinsky, and Drone Test Pilot, Brandon Thomas, had the opportunity to attend Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT)’s Career Fair, connecting with students preparing to graduate in December 2024. They engaged with individuals from the Professional Remotely Piloted Systems Program, along with other aviation-based programs. 💡 Fun fact: Matthew and Brandon both graduated from SAIT programs in their past. Brandon is a proud alumnus of the SAIT Professional Remotely Piloted Systems Program, making this event an especially meaningful chance to give back and inspire the next generation. Thank you to everyone who stopped by to learn more about AERIUM and explore the possibilities ahead! A special thank you to the incredible event organizers —Stephanie Hogewoning and Kerri Gale — for creating such a dynamic and welcoming environment. Meeting these promising students was a privilege, and we’re excited about the future they’re shaping. #SAIT #CareerFair #RPAS #DroneTechnology #AERIUMAnalytics #NextGenerationLeaders #InnovationInAction

We’re thrilled to announce RunwayVue™ has been deployed once again following its successful launch at SWIFT Conference 2024! In collaboration with Winnipeg Airports Authority | Administration aéroportuaire de Winnipeg (YWG) following their recent Runway 18/36 rehabilitation, we captured drone-based orthoimagery to conduct a comprehensive analysis, including: ✈️ Runway Markings Compliance Assessment – ensuring all runway markings align with TP312 safety and compliance standards. 💡Edge Light Inspections – confirming edge light frangible couplers are compliant with TP312 standards. A huge thank you to the YWG team for partnering with us on another successful deployment of RunwayVue™! Together, we’re setting new standards in airfield safety and operational efficiency. We can't wait to share what’s next! Brian Hamilton Eric Long #RunwayVue #AviationInnovation #AirfieldSafety #YWG #SWIFT2024

#Drones are addressing a major challenge for the #energy industry - wildlife sweeps. 🦉 Wildlife sweeps are proactive assessments for identifying wildlife presence, habituation and reducing the #risk of interaction between #animals and humans - a critical aspect of safety and #productivity for all. How can you benefit from Wildlife Sweeps? ✅ Regulatory Compliance: Strict environmental regulations require the monitoring and management of wildlife on-site and near their infrastructure, ensuring the safety of both the environment and operations. ✅ Operational Continuity: Wildlife-related operational disruptions can negatively affect the environment and businesses, causing financial losses and downtime. What are the #Benefits of Drones for Wildlife Sweeps? ✔ Efficiency: Drones cover large areas quickly while delivering real-time data to biologists and wildlife professionals. ✔ Visualization = Cost Effectiveness: Using high-resolution cameras and advanced sensors, drones detect wildlife and identify areas of concern from a bird's eye view - reducing the need for extensive ground surveys and optimizing resources. ✔ Safety: Drones can easily access remote and/or dangerous locations, keeping workers safe during inspections. At AERIUM Analytics, we're leveraging advanced drone technology to monitor wildlife and associated risks in the energy sector. ⚡ Our drones operate in challenging environments and conditions, giving you real-time, actionable #insights that traditional methods simply can't match. We’re happy to be highlighted by Clean Resource Innovation Network (CRIN) at #COP29 again this year! If you’ll be there tomorrow, November 14th, stop by the CRIN Pavilion (H15) at 1 p.m. to catch our RoBird™ technology showcase. 🦅 #innovation #tech #drones #dronesforgood #RoBird
Join CRIN for a technology showcase of AERIUM Analytics. Happening at 1 p.m. AZT on November 14 in the CRIN Pavilion (H15) at #COP29. AERIUM Analytics uses proprietary machine learning algorithms and automated detection tools to monitor bird species at liquid impoundment facilities (LIFs) in surface mining operations. Wildlife management, especially bird deterrence, is challenging due to migration patterns and habitat complexities. AERIUM, a Canadian RPAS provider, developed the RoBird® Drone Technology to prevent birds from nesting in high-risk areas and relocate them safely. By enhancing RoBird® with real-time detection and reporting, AERIUM aims to create a more effective, autonomous wildlife protection solution, delivering detailed data to operators for improved wildlife management in the oil, gas, and mining industries. #innovation #tech
