✨ The Beauty of Being a Beginner: A Perspective on Africa’s Innovation Ecosystem ✨ “In the beginner’s mind, there are many possibilities. In the expert’s, there are few.” – Shunryu Suzuki Every time I meet an early-stage innovator, I’m reminded of the transformative power of being a beginner. There’s something profoundly beautiful about that first step—the curiosity to ask questions that others have stopped asking, the courage to envision solutions for problems that seem insurmountable, and the sheer enthusiasm to do the hard work of building something impactful. 🌍 In the Context of Africa’s Challenges and Opportunities: As an ecosystem builder, I’ve had the privilege of working alongside some of the brightest minds shaping Africa’s future. These founders are not just dreamers; they are doers. They dare to imagine a better healthcare system, sustainable energy solutions, equitable education, and so much more. But their journeys often begin with questions: “What if this could work?” “Why hasn’t anyone tried this?” “How can I make this happen?” 💡 The Role of Storytelling in Scaling Dreams: One of the most rewarding aspects of my work is helping these innovators articulate their visions—transforming raw ideas into narratives that resonate with investors, collaborators, and communities. Storytelling isn’t just about words; it’s about building bridges between the challenges they’re tackling and the solutions they’re crafting. When founders tell their stories effectively, they inspire action. They rally teams, attract resources, and spark movements. They remind all of us that Africa’s challenges are opportunities waiting to be unlocked by those brave enough to start. 🔥 Why the Beginner’s Mindset Matters: In this ecosystem, being a beginner isn’t a limitation—it’s an advantage. Beginners see possibilities where others see roadblocks. They work tirelessly because their vision is bigger than themselves. And they collaborate relentlessly because they know the journey is not meant to be walked alone. 🚀 My Call to You: Whether you’re a founder, an investor, or a supporter of Africa’s innovation ecosystem, embrace the beginner’s mindset. Stay curious, stay hungry, and never stop building—because every small idea has the potential to create ripples of change across our continent. What’s one lesson or insight you’ve gained from working with or being a beginner? Let’s spark a conversation and inspire each other! PS: I really love Africa, can you tell from my obsession with these Africa-shaped earrings? #AfricaRising #InnovationEcosystem #Storytelling #BeginnerMindset #Collaboration #Impact #WomeninLeadership

Botswana’s BIGGEST Mixologist Competition✨🍸 About a week ago, I had the honor of bringing Schweppes flavors to life on the runway at the grand finale of Botswana’s biggest mixology competition - #SchweppesMixologyCompetition, following my role as a judge for the Gaborone leg. Held in Botswana’s creative epicenter, these events showcased a unique blend of mixology and design under the Coca-Cola’s Schweppes brand. As a judge for the Schweppes Mixologist Competition alongside Business Botswana Chairperson, Mr Vikash Ponangi and media powerhouse Kgosi Kgosidintsi I witnessed some of Botswana’s most talented mixologists transform Schweppes’ classic flavors into masterful creations. Their ability to balance flavors, craft experiences and story telling through cocktails was nothing short of inspiring—a true testament to the intersection of skill, creativity, and artistry. On the other side of the stage, I stepped into my role as Creative Director of the Schweppes-inspired fashion show at the grand finale hosted last week. Each design was a tribute to Schweppes’ heritage, brought to life through thoughtful textures, vibrant colors, and silhouettes that embodied the bold and effervescent spirit of the brand. From the rustic hues of Ginger Ale to the vibrancy tones of Indian Tonic, the synergy between mixology and fashion was the driving force behind this extraordinary showcase. A blend of talent, from mixologists to media personalities like emcee Tshepo Sekgororoane musicians like Samantha Mogwe and Game "Zeus" Bantsi and DJs like KRM, Dizzy Dee, Deelow, and Chief Rocker, made for a night that felt nothing short of transformative. Congratulations to the winner of this year’s Schweppes Mixology Competition, Oscar Molefe, and the incredible finalists Gontekanye Moelenyane, Thuso Tlhaselo, and Oteng Ronald, for their outstanding performances. A truly memorable moment of the evening was when David Chait CA (SA) CEO of Coca-Cola Beverages Botswana, made an impromptu decision to award a cash prize to the fourth-place finalist, stating that “everyone in the competition is a winner tonight.” This heartfelt gesture perfectly encapsulated the spirit of the event: a celebration of talent, innovation, and the country cross journey of each participant. It was an honor to witness such creativity and dedication from the team lead by Kabiwa Sebego and co. and to be part of a night that showcas ed the best of Botswana’s creative industries. Cheers to all the mixologists who continue to inspire through their craft. 🥂 #BornSocial #SchweppesMixologistCompetiton #MixologyMeetsCulture #CreativeSynergy

"I stand in awe of all that 2024 has been." As I reflect on the year, one word keeps coming to mind: GRATEFUL. Deeply grateful to God for His faithfulness, for walking with me through the highs and lows, and for reminding me that every step of this journey is purposeful. At the start of the year, I set myself a bold target: to grow my community to 10,000 followers. And here we are—so close to that milestone! It’s not just a number; it’s a testament to the power of storytelling, of shared dreams, and of collective impact. Thank you for reading, engaging, and being part of this journey. Your connection fuels my passion to create a better, more unified world, one story at a time. This year has been nothing short of transformative. From my work at the African Impact Initiative, where I’ve witnessed innovation reshaping communities, to the unforgettable connections I’ve built across the globe. I’ve learned, failed, grown, and embraced the lessons along the way. The highlight? Always learning something new. Whether through projects that pushed me out of my comfort zone, or conversations that opened my mind to fresh perspectives, every moment has been a building block for what’s to come. But beyond work and ambition, 2024 reminded me of the priceless gift of family. Their unwavering love and support are the foundation of everything I do. That even in the stillness of life, the uncertainty that comes with it, there is one thing that I can always be sure about: family will always show up and for my family I am deeply grateful to God 😍 As a Pan-Africanist and #storyteller, my vision remains clear: to use the power of words to inspire, educate, and drive change. In 2025, I’m excited to create even more impact and continue championing the stories that matter most. This is my last post of the year, but it’s only the beginning of a new chapter. Thank you for being part of my 2024. Together, we’ve built something special. May the new year bring us all closer to our dreams and to each other. Here’s to making 2025 unforgettable! ✨ As I pen down, Happy Happy Holidays To You & Your Loved Ones! #Gratitude #StorytellingForImpact #PanAfricanist #GrowthJourney #2024Reflections #WomeninLeadership

What a Year! Reflecting on 2024 2024 has been an incredible year filled with growth, travel, and personal milestones. I am so grateful for all the opportunities, challenges, and beautiful memories this year has brought. This year, I completed the DLT Talents Program, gaining a deeper understanding of Distributed Ledger Technology and its potential to transform industries. I became one of the co-founder’s of Rubikcon Nexus where I managed the development of Blockgigs, a job hiring platform connecting talents to Web3 opportunities. I also wrapped up my journey as a certified software engineer through alx_africa which strengthened my technical skills. I had the privilege of participating in the McKinsey Forward Program, where I gained invaluable leadership skills to shape the future of my career. I also volunteered with a mental health organization, where I contributed to raising awareness and supporting initiatives aimed at giving back to society—work that continues to inspire me. I participated in the African Impact Initiative Pre-Incubation Program with my mental health startup . I contributed to exciting blockchain projects, including winning Celo and ETH Hackathons. Travel was another highlight of my year! I had an amazing time in Accra, Ghana, meeting inspiring people during the muAccra event, and my first trip to Cameroon for a conference introduced me to new friends and experiences I’ll always cherish. One of the biggest highlights of 2024 was organizing the Devcon at Your Doorstep event with my team at @Rubikconnexus sponsored by the Ethereum Foundation. I also had the privilege of moderating a panel discussion with Lena Hierzi , exploring strategies for thriving in global Ethereum hackathons. On a personal note, I capped the year by marrying an incredible man who constantly pushes me to be my best in my career and personal life. I’m especially grateful to have met and worked with amazing people this year: • Ozioma Onukogu , Super brillant and inspires me a lot. • Moran Hertzanu Weiss my DLT Talents mentor, whose motivation kept me going during the program. • The inspiring DLT Talents alumni and mentors, who enriched my journey. • Julien Barbier ,for consistently motivating us throughout our ALX software engineering journey. • Ifeoluwa Ayo Sanni an incredible Web3 frontend developer, who has always been there to help. • Carine Hohmann and Afina Suleimanova for their kindness and support. • My amazing DeFi Talents mentors, who makes learning easy. I’m thankful for the support of mentors, colleagues, friends, and family who have made this journey so special. I’m stepping into 2025 with excitement and hope for even greater possibilities! #2024reflections #Web3career #Personaldevelopment #Blockchain
