Is Micro-Managing KPIs Sabotaging Your Ad Success? Let's talk ads -- our favourite topic. Constant micro-management of CPA or ROAS on an ad level can actually hurt your ad performance. In most cases, your top-spending ad is doing the heavy lifting for your ENTIRE account. It’s driving discovery, pulling in fresh traffic, and handling larger budgets. Even if its KPIs dip slightly, that’s no reason to pause it. Why? Because that ad fuels your full funnel. It’s pulling in new leads, paving the way for MOF and BOF ads to close the deal. Cutting it off for minor KPI dips means missing the bigger picture. Tip: Focus on blended metrics rather than isolated CPA or ROAS. And remember, just because a lower-spending ad converts with higher KPIs doesn’t mean it’s ready for a big budget increase. These ads often thrive by targeting low-hanging fruit and may not scale without losing efficiency. Example: An agency provides a brand with full-funnel, TOF-focused creative. Meanwhile, the brand’s internally-run static ads see higher ROAS, and they press the agency to "improve performance." The agency then shifts to MOF/BOF ads. Short-term KPIs improve, but overall account health suffers because TOF ads, which drive discovery, are dialed back. The takeaway? Posting Just 3x a Week? It’s Costing You More Than You Think! Here’s the reality: people need to see your brand at least 7 times before they’re ready to take action. At 3 posts a week, that takes over two weeks just to reach visibility—let alone secure a sale. And here’s the kicker: your audience won’t convert after seeing 7 top-of-funnel posts in a row. They need to be guided from awareness to interest to action, with every post playing a role at different stages of the funnel. Posting only 3 times a week means you’re likely missing critical touchpoints to move them along. Imagine if you posted 6-7 times a week. More posts mean more chances to engage, address pain points, answer questions, and nurture real interest.
