Having had the opportunity to connect with colleagues across the US, sharing stories, exchanging ideas, and learning about ourselves as leaders was truly an invigorating and empowering experience (and Philly as a city is almost nice enough to inspire this Canadian to consider applying for her visa)!

On October 29th and 30th, we hosted Traditions: Indigenous Storytelling Through Food, a meaningful event that brought together our campus community to experience the rich flavors and histories shared by Indigenous chefs in our dining hall. Each chef offered dishes deeply connected to their roots and stories, and it was powerful to witness how food can convey heritage and identity. It was equally inspiring to see our own chefs learning directly from these Indigenous chefs—an experience filled with stories of their journeys, wisdom, and the heritage passed down from their ancestors. A heartfelt thank you to the amazing Aramark Canada team who made this event possible, especially those who traveled from other provinces to join us for such an important celebration. Your dedication helped bring this meaningful experience to life. Here’s to more events that unite us in impactful ways and celebrate culture, community, and tradition!
