My Dearest Arterians,
I cannot believe we are at the end of another year. In some ways, I am never quite ready for a year to be finished. I always want to plant one more seed to advance the business.
Only with your help, this year we have:
- Continued on our incredibly strong growth trajectory with new customers, and significantly deepened our existing relationships.
- Completed our oversubscribed Series B financing round led by the one and only GGV Capital U.S. (thank you Jeff Richards and Chelcie Taylor), with participation from all existing major investors (!!!), including Illuminate, Information VP, BDC, and Citi bringing our total funding to $50 million US to date. Huzzah!
- Continued to explore our culture more deeply and why it matters. Arterians, thank you for embodying friendliness, relentlessness, curiosity and collaboration each day.
Personal highlights include moments like:
- Watching our A-Team of Senior MDs from premier financial institutions land in NYC/London.
- Working closely with our teams via the Dailies and collectively imagining a world where incredible folks like Jason and Maria would see fit to join our mission. Also, a huge shout out to our implementation partners who are allowing us the gift of true HULK scale.
- Watching our Board paint a symbolic flag for the Arterians on a warm summer dock. Thank you for being game and for being such an incredible set of advisors and mentors for our business.
I would be remiss if I did not #humblebrag that this was the year we were listed on in 2023 CB Insights AI 100 ranking, recognizing the most promising private AI companies in the world. We were also recognized by Gartner as one of just three companies in its recently released “Cool Vendors in Applying Generative AI to Banking” report. Hats off to Dr. Hajian and our incredible Science team!
Arterians, we fought for every inch and mile. In a tough market. And won. Because of your ingenuity but also because of your big hearts. And our commitment to never.being.complacent – a value we will affirm every year. When we miss, we will do better. When we stumble, we will rise. And when we are cruising, we will challenge ourselves to make sure we aren’t coasting.
Most importantly, thanks to our Senior Team, our people are happy! Arteria is an extreme sport and certainly isn’t for everyone – but for those who love it here, it is a privilege and a pleasure to try and be a zero with you.
My final thought is that it is really the moments where we were imperfect that stick out for me most of all. When I would call the world’s best co-founders, Abrar and Jono, to tell them I messed something up or had a rough day. Being able to laugh so hard about the good and the bad. Sticking together on our worst day. That is what makes it worthwhile.
So let me say thank you over and over again. I continue to be overwhelmed with gratitude for each of you.
Get ready for next year – we have momentum. Let’s go!
Live long and prosper 🖖.
