Housing is so much more than just a roof over our heads. It is essential for our health and well-being. When individuals and families are not struggling to afford shelter, they can tackle other personal issues and address other stressors to their well-being.

About us
The Alberta Seniors & Community Housing Association (ASCHA) is a non-profit provincial organization that exists to serve its members. Our core roles are to provide advocacy and member services. We act as a centre of excellence for education, best practices, and resources to assist housing providers with providing the very best accommodations, services, and supports to the Albertans they serve, within the scope of their mandates. ASCHA represents approximately 80% of Alberta’s seniors and community housing providers. Our members collectively house well over 100,000 Albertans, who live in housing options across the full housing continuum provided by public, voluntary, or private organizations. We work with municipal partners, all levels of government, developers, community organizations, and a host of allied organizations to deliver the homes and supports needed in all communities across the province. We also engage with product and service providers that contribute to the enhancement of housing as Associate Members.

ASCHA’s members welcome and appreciate this critical investment of $150 million to help meet the demand for #affordablehousing in communities across Alberta. ASCHA looks forward to continuing to work closely with Honorable Jason Nixon, ECA, MLA and his team to further enhance this partnership program to ensure more Albertans will be living in housing that honours their dignity, serves their needs and inspires purpose in their chosen community. https://lnkd.in/g3zgqx3N #ableg #abhousing #NationalHousingDay
