🌟 Crew Spotlight: Meet Jocelyn, Our Executive Event Enthusiast! 🌟 Jocelyn is the creative mastermind behind group and meeting events at The Atlas° Hotel. As our Executive Event Enthusiast, she works closely with clients to make planning a breeze and ensures every event in our meeting spaces is a smashing success. There's nothing she loves more than seeing a plan come together and knowing guests had a fantastic experience! 🎉📅 With over 20 years of experience in the hotel industry, Jocelyn’s journey started right out of high school as a switchboard operator and later as a front desk agent. For the past 7 years, she’s been part of the Atlas° family, where her daily crib games at lunch with her buddy from accounting have become a treasured highlight. And if you’re wondering, no, she wouldn’t want to trade positions with anyone—she’s confident she’s exactly where she’s meant to be. "I’d be dangerous anywhere else!" she jokes. 🎴💼 Outside of work, you’ll find Jocelyn relaxing by watching tennis or spending hours at Indigo with a latte in hand. She’s also recently found an interest in pickleball and thinks everyone should give it a try! 🎾☕ When she’s not busy planning events, Jocelyn loves spending time with her family, playing games, or taking her dog, Poppy, out for a run. As a sports fan, she enjoys catching games at stadiums or heading out to ski the Rocky Mountains—her idea of the perfect vacation. Speaking of sports, she dreams of attending Wimbledon (she’s entered the ticket lottery this year, so cross your fingers for her!) or skiing at Whistler. 🐕⛷️ With thousands of events and over 800 weddings under her belt, Jocelyn’s dedication and knack for creating unforgettable moments make her an Atlas° legend. With a pair of kicks that once got her a compliment from Sir Paul McCartney? That makes her a legend everywhere else too. 👟✨ Here’s to Jocelyn, the event-planning extraordinaire who keeps The Atlas° Hotel buzzing with memorable celebrations. Keep rocking it, Jocelyn! 🌟👏

Last Friday, November 1st, marked a major milestone for us here at The Atlas° Hotel—our 5th Birthday! Since rebranding in 2019, our mission has been simple: create a place where every stay is filled with memorable moments, and to bring the fun into everything we do. From incredible events to personalized experiences, we’re all about making every stay more than just a check-in. To celebrate, we decked out the hotel with festive balloons from BalloonBarYQR, treated guests in the lobby to free churros, hosted a birthday bash in the Crew lounge, and launched a social media giveaway to spread the fun! It was an incredible day of gratitude, celebration, and joy as we looked back on five unforgettable years. A massive thank you to every single guest and team member who’s been part of our journey. Your unwavering support and incredible spirit have helped shape The Atlas° into a destination like no other in Regina—a place where creativity, dedication, and hospitality go hand-in-hand. Top 5 Moments from the Past 5 Years: 🏈 Bringing Events to Life From hosting national events like the Grey Cup and Little League Baseball to transforming the hotel into a Western saloon for Canadian Western Agribition, The Atlas° has become a go-to destination for large-scale gatherings and celebrations. 🎄 Creating the Holly Jolly Experience The hotel’s holiday season offerings have grown each year with the introduction of the Holly Jolly Package, bringing festive cheer to guests of all ages. 🥡 Innovating Through the Pandemic The Atlas° adapted creatively during the pandemic, offering special takeout packages such as the popular Thanksgiving & Christmas Turkey Takeout, all while prioritizing guest safety. 🥂 Celebrating Team Milestones We have honoured the dedication of our Crew, including Chef Ian’s 30th and Laundry Supervisor Halida’s 24th anniversary. 🤍 Winning Hearts (and Awards!) Recognized for outstanding customer service, The Atlas° is proud to have received awards like the ABEX and Paragon Awards, showcasing the passion and dedication of its Crew. “We never wanted to be just another hotel. Our goal has always been to make every stay memorable, push boundaries, and show the world what hospitality in Regina can truly be. We’re beyond excited for what the next five years will bring!” - CEO, Ryan Urzada To everyone who has joined us on this journey—thank you for being a part of The Atlas° Hotel family. Here’s to the next five years and beyond! 🌎

🌟 Crew Spotlight: Meet Devin, Our Front Office Superstar! 🌟 Devin is the friendly face behind the smooth operations of our Front Desk as the Front Office Manager. Passionate about creating an above-and-beyond experience for both guests and crew, Devin takes pride in bringing a fun, positive, and knowledgeable energy to the hotel. Helping the crew thrive and seeing guests smile is what makes the job so rewarding! 😄🏨 Devin’s journey at The Atlas° began as a Guest Ambassador, transitioning into the role of Front Desk Supervisor, then Assistant Front Office Manager, before evolving into the Front Office Manager role we know today! 🌟 Buuuut if he had to switch jobs for a day, it’d either be with our Bell Champion, interacting with guests, delivering amenities, and hopping all over the hotel—or with Miranda, our Engagement Coordinator, because curating gifts and creating social media content is right up his creative alley! 🎥🎁 One of Devin’s favorite memories? The Red-Carpet-themed year-end crew party! Not only did the paparazzi and “security” pull the whole thing together, seeing the Atlas° crew dressed up, strutting their best outfits, and enjoying the night with smiles and celebration made it a night to remember. 🎬👗 When not helping guests or curating a great atmosphere, Devin has some surprising talents. With a creative mind that loves real estate and interior design, Devin expresses those ideas by designing floorplans and interiors using The Sims. Devin is also passionate about poetry and dreams of publishing a poetry book someday (we'll be first in line for a signed copy)! ✍️🏡 After a busy day, Devin unwinds with candles, a good smoothie or cup of tea, (of course some snacks) and quality time with his cat. Whether it's writing, photography, or meditating, creativity is at the heart of Devin’s relaxation routine. 🐱🕯️ Here’s to Devin, keep spreading the good vibes and setting the bar for customer service! 🌟👨💼

Today is National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, a time to reflect, learn, and honour Indigenous survivors, families, and communities. At The Atlas° Hotel, we're wearing orange Feather pins from Pro Metal, designed by Jonas Thompson of the Cegakin First Nation, with proceeds going toward supporting Indigenous students across Saskatchewan. In the spirit of Truth and Reconciliation, we've created opportunities for our Crew to deepen their understanding of Indigenous culture. Activities like trivia and a meal of Bison stew and Bannock encourage reflection and conversation as we walk this path of learning together. Reconciliation is an ongoing journey, and there are many ways to get involved. Today, you can participate by attending local events in Regina, exploring Indigenous history through books or documentaries, supporting Indigenous-owned businesses, or simply taking the time to listen and learn from Indigenous voices. 🧡
