🟡 Attributable proven and probable gold mineral reserves grow by 17.4 million ounces before 2024 depletion 🟠 Copper mineral reserves grow by 224% year-on-year on an attributable basis President and chief executive Mark Bristow said Barrick’s strategy of investing in organic growth through exploration and mineral resource management has set the company apart from its peers within the industry, positioning Barrick as a champion for value creation as we continue to grow our production profile organically. “In order for our industry to help build a better world, we have to invest in our own future, with transformational projects like the Lumwana Super Pit Expansion, Pueblo Viejo Expansion, Reko Diq and Fourmile. Barrick’s vision for these projects extends beyond mining, ensuring the benefits of these investments provide multi-generational benefits to our host countries and local communities through the development of local service provider partnerships and investment in the sustainability of our operating environments,” said Bristow.

Barrick’s Kibali gold mine achieved an improved performance in the last quarter of the year, culminating in the highest yearly throughput since its commissioning. ✨ The management team has been further strengthened and exploration is focused on highly prospective areas within the Kibali permit ✨ New solar plant and battery energy storage system will help Kibali reduce its fuel consumption by 53% while increasing the renewable component of its energy mix from 81% to 85% ✨ Kibali maintained its ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 certifications, underscoring Barrick’s high standards in managing its operations responsibly ✨ Kibali has contributed over $5.7 billion to the Congolese economy to date

Barrick has reaffirmed its commitment to Zambia’s economic growth, contributing over $3.7 billion since 2019. In 2024 alone, Lumwana’s operations contributed $887 million to the economy through royalties, taxes, salaries and procurement of goods and services, solidifying its position as one of the nation’s top five taxpayers. The Lumwana expansion will double its current copper production to a life-of-mine average of 240kt a year with an additional 2,500 construction workers to be employed over the construction period through to 2028.

The Twiga partnership remains a leader in Tanzania’s extractive industry, creating thousands of jobs, supporting local businesses and funding critical community projects. 🟣 Injecting over $4.24 billion into the Tanzanian economy since the joint venture was established in 2019 🟣 $888 million in 2024 alone 🟣 $573 million in purchases from national suppliers and service providers last year 🟣 75% of all our payments to suppliers and service providers went to indigenous companies, exceeding our target of 61% 🟣 96% of the 6,185-strong workforce are nationals with 53% coming from the communities neighbouring the mines 🟣 $5 million invested last year in potable water, healthcare and education, taking the total investment in community projects to $15.8 million 🟣 Both the North Mara and Bulyanhulu mines achieved a full year without a Lost-Time Injury 🟣 A Special Economic Zone (SEZ) is in the advanced stages of development around the closed Buzwagi mine 🟣 The Barrick Academy, which opened at Buzwagi in 2024, is making significant strides in developing talent for Barrick “Barrick’s work in Tanzania is a model for sustainable mining that balances economic, environmental, and social responsibility,” says Mark Bristow.
