As a father of two rambunctious kids, I’ve had my fair share of ER visits 😬—especially with my son Quinn, who has experienced countless asthma attacks that have brought us to BC Children’s Hospital in Vancouver. I am forever grateful to the incredible staff and doctors at BC Children’s who have cared for Quinn over the years. Both of my kids were born at BC Children’s, so I’m absolutely thrilled to collaborate with the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation to launch their first Small Is Mighty x Artist Series! This project has been over a year in the making, and I’m so excited to finally share it—just in time for the holidays! My art piece, Power Rally, is deeply personal, inspired by my experiences at BC Children’s Hospital. During our visits, I noticed how Quinn always found comfort in his little brown stuffed dog from Ikea. It seemed like every child had their own special toy that brought them cheer and a sense of security during difficult times. From this observation, I envisioned a playful parade of toys and characters coming together to empower and cheer on all the kids at the hospital. Power Rally is a whimsical interpretation of the Small Is Mighty spirit, celebrating kids and their cheerleaders. Looking for a meaningful way to show your support or the perfect holiday gift? Check out our limited-edition Power Rally collection! Proceeds will help more kids on their mighty journey home.
