#RegUpdate: The feds have announced a shift in Canada’s immigration targets, reducing immigrant intake by approximately 20% over the next 3 years. This includes lowering the number of temporary foreign workers, capped at no more than 5% of Canada’s population by 2026. Starting Nov 8th, employees hired under the high-wage stream under the Temporary Foreign Workers Program (#TFWP) will receive a 20% raise, increasing base salaries between $5 and $8 per hour, depending on location. As a result, more jobs are expected to be subject to the stricter rules of the low-wage stream, including additional employer requirements like housing, transportation and recruitment of workers already in Canada.  #TFW #BCJobs #TruckingIndustry https://bit.ly/3UDFOGn
