The The Ontario Alliance of Black School Educators (ONABSE) and the Black Opportunity Fund are thrilled to invite you to an exclusive screening of two episodes of the groundbreaking Black History docuseries—Black Life Untold Stories—that will include panel discussions and a presentation of the teachers’ guides.

Black Life: Untold Stories – is a sweeping CBC docuseries and public engagement campaign, exploring the rich history of the Black experience in Canada.
The epic eight-part series aired on CBC TV in the Fall of 2023 and is currently streaming on CBC Gem. It traces the complex history of the Black experience in Canada over the past 400 years. The series, which features an all-Black creative team, celebrates the contributions of Black Canadians while presenting an unflinching examination of our collective past, which includes hardship, perseverance, and triumph.
The 8-part series is enhanced by a complimentary, ground-breaking education and impact campaign designed to deepen understanding of Canada’s Black history. The campaign includes a comprehensive, bilingual curriculum, including teachers guides, and cross-country public screenings. The series is co-executive produced by acclaimed director Leslie Norville; Black Lives Matter Canada Co-founder Sandy Hudson; and former NHL star PK Subban.
