The cost of cancer is more than just medical—it's financial too. Cancer patients and their caregivers shoulder 20% of Canada’s total cancer costs—a staggering $7.5 billion this year alone. With the cost of living rising and an aging population, this number is projected to climb to $8.8 billion per year over the next decade. For many, this financial burden makes an already difficult journey even more overwhelming. We need to act now to ensure cancer care is accessible and affordable for everyone in Canada. Let’s work together to create a future where no one has to choose between their health and financial security. 📝 Sign Canadian Cancer Society's petition today: https://lnkd.in/ekWFqrqi #CostOfCancer #EndBrainTumours Société canadienne du cancer

We’re proud to share that Sarah Rogers, our Advocacy and Information Specialist, co-authored a groundbreaking peer-reviewed paper focusing on the rights of brain tumour patients and the transformative power of patient advocacy. Published in Neuro-Oncology Practice, this global collaboration highlights the inequities faced by patients and caregivers around the world and explores how advocacy efforts can bridge these gaps. The article also helps raise awareness of the impact of brain tumours across the globe and we are proud to have been involved to be able to capture the Canadian perspective. ➡️ Read the article: https://ow.ly/wnCG50UZHmP

This year, we are walking with a purpose—and we are walking United by the Numbers. Each number tells a story. Whether it’s the 27 Canadians who are diagnosed with a brain tumour every day, the 120 types of brain tumours, or the countless steps 👣 taken by our community in the fight for a cure, every fact reflects the impact we’re making together. The 2025 #BrainTumourWalk brings our community together, highlighting the strength behind these numbers and turning them into real, life-changing research and support. From our flagship brain tumour walk events, to our community-sponsored events, to just walking in your own neighbourhood, every step we take turns these numbers into hope, action, and a brighter future. 👉 Register today: www.BrainTumourWalk.ca

We are happy to announce that TD Securities’ Underwriting Hope fund has awarded us a $15,000 grant to support families affected by brain tumours. This employee-led initiative highlights the power of community-driven generosity in the fight against this devastating disease. Brain tumours remain the leading cause of cancer-related deaths in children under 20. This grant will directly benefit our BrainWAVE/GOcervo pediatric program, which provides family-focused events, education, and support to dozens of families each year. A heartfelt thank you to TD Securities and their amazing team for their generous support! Together, we can ensure that no family faces a brain tumour diagnosis alone. ➡️ Read our article: https://ow.ly/UpK450UVkMH #BrainTumourAwareness #BrainWAVE #GOcervo
