Performing arts organizations across the Prairies are powerful forces of cultural and economic impact, enriching communities, attracting tourists, generating jobs, and driving local economies. 🎭🎶🩰 Today, the Honourable Terry Duguid announced a PrairiesCan investment of over $8.3 million to enable 13 performing arts organizations in Alberta to implement new audience development and engagement strategies, enhance their reach and visitor experiences, and increase awareness of their brands. Last week, in addition to prepping for Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto, violinist Julian Rhee visited local music students at Central Memorial High School as part of our Education + Outreach Program. The visit included a discussion on violin and string instruments, playing a piece for the students, and even stepping in to play Ralph Vaughan Williams' 'Five Variants of Dives and Lazarus' with the class!
