I am looking forward to meeting students, family members and staff, at Bayview Heights Public School in Pickering tonight, at their hioliday concert! The Durham District School Board carefully selected Bayview Heights as one of two locations to launch our FREE after school Canada SCORES programming in the 2024/25 school term. Our program leaders have been hired, and a new group of Poet-Athletes have registered for the program that will kick off in the new year! This is the first important step of many more to come, in expanding the reach of our organization across the major regions of Canada, and continuing to positively impact the lives of vulnerable children in underserved communities. 30 years ago, Canadian Julie Kennedy developed the unique three-part curriculum that is delivered now, to over 20,000 children each year across North America via our America SCORES affiliate network. Our history as a 1994 FIFA World Cup Legacy Program continues!
