We’re pleased to have collaborated with ecoinvent to expand their environmental database for building and construction! Together with the Cement Association of Canada, our Low Carbon Built Environment Challenge program has developed new life cycle inventory datasets for low carbon cement to include Canadian regional practices and building materials – a first in Canada! The new data covers limestone extraction, primary crushing, clinker production and cement manufacturing. This data is foundational to the tools used by practitioners to conduct life cycle assessments of buildings and infrastructure, which supports the selection of materials based on their carbon footprint.
