We are excited to share our latest results with the PATS Trap-Eye system, which has revolutionized our sticky trap monitoring! This automated system captures high-resolution images of sticky traps to identify and count pests, providing real-time reports directly to our growers. By pinpointing pest hot spots, it enables more efficient, standardized monitoring, saving time and labour, while offering valuable insights into insect population trends. Thank you Plant Products & Biobest for supplying us with this innovative technology. See the below recent reports from the system, featuring total bios and white fly counts for October. As we finish planting for the second round of our strawberry dynamic lighting trial, we are excited to share more about this innovative project. This trial leverages Sollum Technologies Dynamic Lighting and Agrolux lighting to explore how different light spectrums effect strawberry growth and development. Our ultimate goal is to develop a scalable model that can transform both the sustainability and productivity of strawberry farming. With artificial lighting playing a crucial role in optimizing greenhouse crop production, we’re committed to exploring the latest advancements in the industry. These high-tech lighting systems allow us to precisely adjust light spectrums, manage lighting across different zones, and maintain full control over areas where light interacts with the crop. We’re looking forward to discovering how dynamic lighting can redefine what is possible in greenhouse strawberry farming. A big thank you to some of our trial partners for supporting this trial: Growtec Solutions, EZ Grow Farms, Koppert, Blackmore Company, Cara McCreary, Roselyne Labbe, PhD. #reasearch #development #innovation #collaboration #strawberry #dynamiclighting #LEDtechnologies
