Over 400,000 children and adolescents worldwide are diagnosed with cancer every year—1,500 cases in Canada alone. The CIHR-supported ACCESS-ACCES research network is working to transform the health and experiences of children, youth, and their families by advancing groundbreaking research in pediatric cancer care in Canada. ✅ Drug access database: Helping pediatric oncologists ensure every child has access to innovative cancer drug therapies. ✅ Radiation registry: Studying the benefits and side effects of proton and photon radiation therapy in children. ✅ Policy solutions: Examining ways to overcome barriers to access diagnostics and therapies for children, adolescents and young adults in Canada and beyond. Together, these projects aim to improve outcomes and ensure equitable access to high quality care for all children and youth experiencing cancer. https://lnkd.in/eYJG6bWv #InternationalChildhoodCancerDay
