About us

Colouring It Forward is an Indigenous-run social entreprise designed to create conversation, develop understanding and foster reconciliation between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples. Based in Calgary, Alberta, we publish a series of all-ages colouring books each focusing on a different Nation, elders' books, greeting cards and Indigenous art calendars. The fact that the books tell the positive teachings from the elders and including space to journal mean that a lot of people use them for therapy, for healing or just to relax. Every product sold contributes a donation to an Indigenous grassroots project. The Blackfoot colouring book and the orange shirts support "Children are our Sacred Bundle". The Christmas card box set supports an outreach school in Ponoka. The Dene book supports Dene artists in the Northwest Territories. The red Honour shirt supports the Stardale Women's Group.
