Colt Canada sent a delegation to the 2024 Ukraine Defence Forum held in Kyiv on Oct 1st. President Zelenskyy addressed the attendees and thanked the partner nations and industry for supporting Ukraine with the vital equipment needed for its defence. The forum focused the development and integration of new technologies and asked industry to invest in Ukraine to develop the capability to maintain and repair its equipment. Members from the Colt Canada team traveled to Kyiv, Ukraine, to provide Armourer’s training and tool kits to support Ukraine’s growing fleet of Colt Canada small arms provided by the Canadian Government’s military support donations. During training, the Colt Canada team bore witness to the excellent skillsets, passion, dedication, and professionalism of the Ukrainian people. Colt Canada also engaged in collaborative and productive conversations with military and security agency senior officials to discuss potential for further contribution to Ukraine. Colt Canada would like to extend thanks to the many Ukrainian hosts, who provided immeasurable hospitality and safety for the duration of the visit, as well as to the Canadian Embassy for the experience attending their wonderfully executed Canada Day afternoon celebration that highlighted Canada and Ukraine’s enduring friendship.
