Today at Copernicus Lodge, we honoured the memory of the Polish people deported to Siberia in 1940. 🙏 Eighty-five years ago, thousands of innocent men, women, and children were forcibly taken from their homes, facing unimaginable hardships. We remember their suffering, resilience, and the legacy they left behind. We were honoured to welcome distinguished guests, including Marek Ciesielczuk, the new Consul General of the Republic of Poland in Toronto, Vice Consul Justyna Frelak, as well as our Board Members—Danusia Figiel, Doris Galas, and Jan Faryaszewski—and Jan Cytowski, President of KPK - Toronto branch, among others.
