If you're lucky in business, you build customer relationships that can turn into friendships. Our CEO, Shawn Watts, got to visit North Carolina and experience "a day in the life" of Zach Burick, President and Owner of D.S. Duggins Welding (DSD Welding). 🇺🇸 From an early morning gym session and cold plunge to a family visit and a tour of their job sites, Zach shared how he balances it all: running a successful business, taking care of himself, and making time for family. Zach’s story is just as dynamic as his day-to-day—did you know he used to be a professional musician? Now, he’s managing countless moving parts at D.S. Duggins, including a future office under construction and multiple job site where Corfix is helping keep things running smoothly. As if all that wasn't enough, Zach took Shawn to meet the herd of cattle he co-owns -- Shawn even got to hop on a tractor for the first time ever, proving that no two days in this industry are the same. 🚜🐄 Huge thanks to Zach and his family for the warm welcome and for showing us how passion and hard work make all the difference—both on and off the job site.

  • The Corfix team wrapped up another great year in style at our annual Christmas Party. It was a chance to take a break, celebrate the wins, and look ahead to what’s next. To our customers, partners, and friends: thank you for being part of the journey. Wishing you all a safe and happy holiday season—and here’s to an even brighter 2025! 🎄 💫

The ongoing Canada Post strike is a reminder of just how much we still rely on paper processes—and why it’s time to embrace the shift to digital. 📬 💻 Whether it’s paper bills, invoices, or payments delayed in the mail, businesses everywhere are feeling the ripple effects. But let’s face it: in 2024, there’s a better way. The same lesson applies to jobsite documentation. Think about it: lost timesheets, handwritten notes that don’t make it back to the office, or critical safety forms sitting in a truck instead of in the hands of the people who need them. That’s a system built for delays. With Corfix, everything you need—safety forms, timekeeping, project updates—goes digital. It’s instant, secure, and impossible to lose in transit. The tools are here to work smarter, not harder. Maybe a strike like this is just the wake-up call we all needed. Let’s future-proof our businesses by leaving paper behind where it belongs: the past.

Big shoutout to Will McGlennon from our Customer Success team, who knocked it out of the park with in-person onboarding sessions for the crew at Campbell's Trucking Ltd. Will spent time at their Smiths Falls shop running a session tailored for shop workers, and then headed out to the Bellamy Farm site—part of an exciting development by Park View Homes—to deliver training right where the action happens. Campbell's Trucking has been a cornerstone of the Smiths Falls community since 1985, specializing in civil construction, land development, and more. Partnering with them is a great reminder of the incredible work being done in construction every day. It’s all about making sure teams have what they need to simplify workflows, improve safety, and keep projects moving forward. Huge thanks to Campbell's Trucking for welcoming us—can’t wait to see what you accomplish next! 💪

🚨 Proposed Ontario Safety Policy Could Mean $500,000 Minimum Fines for Repeat Violations 🚨 Construction professionals in Ontario, take note: The provincial government has announced plans for new legislation that would introduce a mandatory minimum fine of $500,000 for companies found guilty of repeated safety violations. Here’s what we know so far:   👉 The legislation has been proposed but not yet passed—stay tuned for updates as it moves forward.  👉 The goal is to target repeat offenders and create safer work environments across industries.  👉 If passed, stricter enforcement and significant fines could reshape the way workplace safety is prioritized. Why this matters for construction companies: The construction industry often faces heightened scrutiny due to its high-risk nature. Now is the time to review your safety protocols, invest in employee training, and ensure compliance with existing regulations to stay ahead of these potential changes. 💡 Proactive steps now can help you avoid costly penalties in the future. Let’s commit to making our sites safer and more compliant—for our teams, clients, and communities.
