Feeling grateful and honored to have been part of the team of consultants reviewing the Zimbabwe National Energy Policy! Had a successful presentation at the Zimbabwe National Energy Policy Stakeholder Consultation Workshop where I created the #policycontext and #background by updating current statistics on our demographics, economic indicators, energy indices, #energyresources , #energyinfrastructure and discussed on critical reforms in; #fossilfuelsector #renewableenergysector #nuclearenergysector I was delighted to have the opportunity to engage with key players in the Zimbabwean energy sector. Looking forward to continuing to contributing to a sustainable energy future for Zimbabwe! CPCS #ZimbabweNationalEnergyPolicy #SustainableEnergy #EnergyTransition"

Congratulations, Ian Griffiths, on your Intelligent Transportation Society of California (ITS California) scholarship! Read his blog for Seamless Bay Area: https://lnkd.in/e-cF85tr #Infrastructure #PublicTransit #Transit #Taiwan #Taipei #Cities
Yesterday, I touched town in Taipei, Taiwan as part of a week-long visit to study the country’s public transportation systems and understand relevant lessons for California and North America. This opportunity is thanks to Wendy Tao Smart Cities Scholarship, ITS California. My first blog post captures my first impressions of using transit in Taipei, which I find helpful to record immediately after arriving in a new city. I think it’s important to remember what’s easy & what's hard so that we can channel that empathy to design more user-friendly, accessible transit. Overall, I found the system very easy to use and understand, and I was particularly surprised at how easy it was to navigate even when there was limited English information. https://lnkd.in/grb-J9vE

CPCS is all for better solar energy infrastructure ☀ At the West African Power Pool (WAPP), CPCS advisors Leina Benouniche, Romain Frandji and Uriel Niamké presented the findings of a CPCS study for the The World Bank on scaling-up solar photovoltaic (solar panels) in West and Central Africa. What our advisors presented are the advantages and drawbacks of different business models for the development of solar PV. ➡ About our energy advisory solutions: https://lnkd.in/gZx6esVd #SolarPV #SolarEnergy #EnergyInfrastructure #InfrastructureConsulting

A thought from our co-CEO.
Exciting times as I reflect on a work trip to Singapore, where I had the privilege of negotiating an energy deal that is poised to significantly increase the availability of power in one of the fastest growing West African nation. 🌍⚡ This experience was a perfect reflection of CPCS’ core values (https://lnkd.in/easHf65V): DEPTH: The expertise and knowledge that CPCS brings to the table were critical to navigating the complexities of this unique deal. PRAGMATISM: It was a race against time, but with just a day’s notice, we mobilized swiftly to Singapore and dove straight into negotiations. The ability to be adaptable and efficient is something we take great pride in – when opportunity calls, we’re ready. RESPECT: One of the highlights was the seamless collaboration with the various partners, where respect and trust led to an almost-final agreement within just four days. It was a truly remarkable effort from all sides, proving that working with respect for each other’s expertise and perspectives can accelerate progress. And the most exciting part? The IMPACT this deal will have – an increase in power availability that will benefit so many. Plus, let’s not forget the FUN of being in Singapore, which made the experience even more memorable. 🇸🇬 Grateful for the opportunity to contribute to such an impactful project and looking forward to the positive changes ahead! #Energy #CPCS #DEEPERIF #Impact
