How did we help this client reduce their interest rate from a staggering 47.9% to just 9%? The short answer: Through a debt consolidation program. The long answer: While the program is what directly lowered the interest rate, there's so much more involved in supporting our clients financially. This client wasn’t just battling a high-interest payday loan — they were also carrying the weight of the shame that often comes with debt. At times, debt can feel isolating, but reaching out to a certified non-profit credit counselor can make all the difference. We offer an empathetic, supportive, and completely judgment-free environment where clients can feel safe enough to take their first step toward financial relief. This is why we’re here — not just to lower interest rates, but to help people regain control of their finances and their peace of mind. "I am so annoyed by this policy decision." The government of Canada has announced a 'GST Holiday' starting on December 14th, which would give Canadians GST relief on certain items such as food, children's clothing, video games, books, and Christmas trees. However, Bruce Sellery argues that the GST Holiday is not what Canadians need and that it won't benefit them in the long run. If you have two minutes, we invite you to read this review about one of our credit counsellors, Kelly. ⬇️ This right here is why we do what we do. 💭 “There's very few things I've ever genuinely felt the desire to go online and review, but this has to be the most compelling and life changing service that seriously deserves it. Kelly O'Leary got in touch with me literally within 20 minutes after I sent my inquiry, and gave me the BEST customer service I've ever experienced in my life. Finances have been hugely shameful for me so even posting this feels so vulnerable -- asking for help and sharing all the details with a Consolidation company felt like something I could never get the guts to actually do. Kelly made me so glad that I did - it felt so easy, comfortable, non-judgemental, and genuinely empathetic. She answered every question so enthusiastically, walked me through the whole process and each step for getting set up, and encouraged me the whole way. For context, I had to take out an emergency payday loan for veterinary ICU fees for my dog over a year ago, and paying it back has been completely ruining me financially (missed payments, shuffling money between debt and credit cards, to scrape by for minimum payments, etc). This agreement has helped me get my interest rate from 47.9% to about 9%. Instead of paying $534/month (267 biweekly), I'm only paying $295/month. I had no idea this was even an option. When I saw the reviews I thought it absolutely HAD to be too good to be true, or that there was some catch lurking in the depths of fine print. I'm so relieved that truly the other reviews I saw were sincere. This service is genuinely going to save my life, credit score, and future stability -- I'll save so much in interest, and the extra couple hundred dollars I save monthly means that I can pay for things I've put off due to cost like mental health related prescriptions and even just being able to put away some savings (finally). I truly can't believe this. I only wish I knew about it earlier. It's not just saving me money, it's helping my quality of life, and for that I can't be grateful enough. Kelly was so unbelievably kind, patient, and thorough. When we got off our phone call I broke down in tears -- I've never felt like I've had an answer for solving my debt stress until now. Thank you, thank you, thank you Kelly and team. Even thinking about debt makes me so anxious, but the whole process today took under an hour and was genuinely not just painless, but actually felt like an enjoyable conversation. This company seriously knows what they're doing with their employees, attitudes, values, all of it. I know this review sounds borderline ridiculously glowing, but seriously, I'm feeling so much relief and gratitude that i had to share it so hopefully someone else in a position like I've been in can get help with it sooner than I did. If you're thinking about it, look into it. They're beyond helpful.” ——————-

🚨 67% of Canadians are worried about package theft (aka Porch Pirates!) this holiday season, according to FedEx’s Holiday Package Survey. Having your deliveries stolen costs you BIG TIME. Not only did you lose the money used to purchase the stolen item in the first place... but you're likely to buy that item a second time as well! Don't let your deliveries be next. Here are 5 budget-friendly ways to keep your packages safe: 1️⃣ Signature Required: Make sure you’re home or request a signature for every delivery. 2️⃣ In-Store Pick-Up: Skip the porch altogether by choosing in-store pick-up when possible. 3️⃣ Ship to Secure Pick-Up Locations: Have your packages sent to a nearby locker or pick-up center. 4️⃣Security Camera: A visible camera (even a fake one) can be a powerful deterrent! 5️⃣Delivery Instructions: Add a note to the delivery person to hide packages out of sight from prying eyes. Make sure to be specific to increase the likelihood of the delivery person following those instructions!
