A little peek behind the scenes at a knowledge-sharing practice we've implemented at Crisp!

At Crisp, we implemented a monthly meeting format known as Show Share and Tell (SST) to address the challenge of maintaining alignment as our company expands. This structured session, held on the first Wednesday of every month, allows us to exchange client experiences, new procedures, and valuable insights, promoting collaboration and knowledge-sharing among team members. The decision to adopt SST was driven by the emergence of communication gaps as our business grew. SST now plays a vital role in ensuring alignment and fostering collective learning, essential for our growth trajectory. Key components of SST that have proven successful for us include: ⭐ Two team members presenting for 30 minutes each, encouraging interactive discussions. ⭐ Emphasis on tangible work—client updates, process improvements, and knowledge exchange. ⭐ Interactive and engaging format that enhances internal processes and client outcomes. For leaders of expanding businesses, establishing a regular forum like SST is highly recommended. It represents an investment in communication and culture that directly influences client satisfaction and business performance. How do you maintain team alignment during growth? Share your insights in the comments! #leadership #teamalignment #communication #smallbusiness #learningculture #businessgrowth #workplaceculture

Happy #Halloween! Here's a video of Christine Pilkington talking about something scary: marketing department chaos 👀

Our clients often turn to Crisp Media when their marketing isn't functioning properly. Upon investigation, we frequently uncover a "chaos and panic" culture within their marketing teams. While the appearance of "hustling hard" may prevail, this often hints at underlying operational challenges that can significantly impact your business. Here’s why this warrants your attention: 🔥 Burnout & Turnover: Reacting constantly instead of planning leads to burnout and high turnover rates, resulting in costly talent recruitment and training. 🚪 Lost Opportunities: Chaos promotes short-term thinking, causing your team to overlook strategic, long-term opportunities crucial for brand differentiation and substantial growth. 🚫 Inefficiency: Absence of structure gives rise to inefficiency, with bottlenecks, last-minute changes, and poor communication squandering time and budget, leading to missed objectives and diminished ROI. 😬 Damaged Reputation: Rushing through tasks results in errors, from inconsistent messaging to public blunders, tarnishing your brand's reputation. 🎯 Misalignment with Business Goals: A reactive marketing approach veers off course from long-term goals, resulting in campaigns that fail to drive growth or success. 🚧 Inability to Scale: Persistent chaos hinders scalability, exacerbating issues and complicating management as your business expands. Bottom line: Tackle the root cause of chaos promptly. By prioritizing operational structure, you safeguard your company from burnout, inefficiency, and missed opportunities, while paving the way for sustainable success. #MarketingOperations #BusinessLeadership #OperationalEfficiency #MarketingTips #LeadershipGrowth

What differentiates a CMO from a marketing director from a marketing manager? Our CEO Christine Pilkington breaks it down in this video 👇

Everyone's a fractional CMO these days, right? Marketing leadership roles can be confusing - what sets a CMO, director, and manager apart? Let's break it down: 🔹 **CMO** - Focuses on the big picture, shaping company-wide marketing strategy, and connecting marketing with business goals for long-term success. Can broadly speak about non-marketing specific issues facing the business at the executive level. (This last point is key!) 🔹 **Marketing Director** - Acts as the bridge between strategy and execution, turning big ideas into actionable plans, leading teams, and driving campaigns aligned with the broader strategy. 🔹 **Marketing Manager** - The executors on the ground, owning projects, optimizing performance, and working with teams to deliver tangible results. 🎯 Pro tip: Watch out for title inflation! Clear role definitions are crucial to avoid mismatched expectations and potential hiring issues in the future. Understanding these distinctions is key to aligning responsibilities with business needs, whether you’re structuring a marketing team or navigating leadership roles. #marketing #CMO #marketingdirector #marketingmanager #leadership #titleinflation #marketingstrategy #teamwork #hiring
