About us

DarkVision Technologies Inc. is a BC-based tech company that has been disrupting the industrial imaging market since 2013. We have created the world’s most advanced acoustic-based imaging platform and are packaging it into multiple new product lines. Our rapidly growing team of experts from machine vision, medical imaging, aerospace design, and computer graphics have come together to revolutionize how industry quantifies and visualizes the integrity of critical assets. DarkVision’s first product line for tubular infrastructure inspection has been highly disruptive to the market; it has won multiple industry awards, been featured in top industry publications, and generated significant revenue. We are now scaling the technology to numerous industrial verticals and building a platform to become the dominant player in the asset integrity game. DarkVision’s proprietary technology captures the world’s largest ultrasound datasets by orders of magnitude. To do this, we design, build, and sell the entire solution ourselves. Our teams specialize in large sensor arrays, high-speed electronics, advanced ultrasound imaging techniques, 3D visualizations, and ML-based analytics software. DarkVision’s staff of Mechanical Engineers, Electrical Engineers, Software Engineers, Machine Learning Engineers, and Research Scientists develop cutting-edge technologies that blend science with real-world applications. Backed by Koch Industries, North America’s largest privately held company, DarkVision has begun scaling its Engineering, Sales, and Operations teams to meet the demand for both its current and upcoming products. Our head office is a brand new 52,000+ sqft facility in Vancouver and we have offices across Canada, USA, Europe, and the Middle East. We invite you to join our team for the exciting journey ahead as we become the global leader in industrial imaging.

  • We’re operational in Australia and looking forward to participating in EXA - Energy Exchange Australia 2025. Our award-winning technology has transformed how operators inspect, understand, and evaluate wells and we are excited to bring those actionable insights to Australia. Our robust HADES platform is rated for high temperature and pressure to deliver comprehensive direct measurements with a resolution of 0.25mm through any fluid clarity, helping operators: 🔸 Inspect the condition and position of components including safety valves, gas lift mandrels, sliding sleeves and jewelry. 🔸 Accurately identify and measure fish, obstructions, collapsed casing and maximum pass-through diameter. 🔸 Evaluate and compare the performance of specific components and larger well design strategies such as corrosion mitigation measures and completions designs. Our Australian Sales Director, Jon Lawrie, Karl Klaudi, and Vishal Sharma will be at Booth D13. Join them to discuss how DarkVision can improve the safety, reliability, and performance of your wells.

We had an incredible response this week as we launched DarkVision’s new pipeline inspection tool, Kraken, at PPIM. In case you missed it – Kraken detects and directly measures cracks, dents, and metal loss in pipelines with an order of magnitude improvement in resolution and accuracy, all in one tool at full line speeds. At 8:30, Corey Richards presented how this technology was validated, and results from our first field run with Flint Hills Resources, helping them more accurately size and understand corrosion. At 9:00 Greer Simpson, P. Eng presented a deep dive on how Kraken reliably detects and sizes cracks that other tools miss and provides operators with new insights into the morphology and root causes of cracks. If you missed us at PPIM, reach out to Corey Richards to discuss how Kraken can provide you with unparalleled insight into the integrity of your pipeline.

  • We’ve revolutionized downhole imaging. Now we’re going horizontal. DarkVision is excited to unveil Kraken – a pipeline inspection tool that directly measures cracks, geometry, and metal loss at orders of magnitude higher resolution and accuracy, all in a single tool at full line speed. Kraken represents the next evolution of industrial imaging from DarkVision. We continue to raise the bar with ultra-high resolution, high fidelity, comprehensive direct measurements and never-before-seen visualizations of anomalies – capturing petabytes of data and billions of images per run. With input from our early adopter industry partners, we’ve created the “silver bullet” of pipeline inspection – helping operators run their pipelines safely, reliably, and efficiently and reducing risks to people and the environment. We are launching Kraken in person this week at the Pipeline, Pigging & Integrity Management Conference (PPIM). Join us at Booth 111 and don’t miss our back-to-back paper presentations on Friday January 31st to learn how this novel technology will revolutionize pipeline integrity.
