Shout out to Al Ramsay (he/him/his) and Pauleanna Reid , do you recognize anyone else 😎 --- What advice would you give to current #Sheridan students or recent #graduates? Be sure to collect the contact details of as many classmates you can. This is one thing that I wish I had started to do from High School and especially in College. LinkedIn is powerful and building a strong foundation of connections will amplify your ability to progress. How did your Sheridan experience impact or shape your career? Sheridan was the birthplace of my idea for Detailing Knights the car cleaning company that I run which was featured on Dragons Den. I was drifting through school for about 8 years until I decided to start my own business is when I truly began to focus because everything I was learning in my Business Admin courses now started to make sense. Being able to apply the knowledge directly to the business I was running allowed me to complete my Accounting diploma and I use that learning every day in my business. Also, learning from Sheridan the importance of Social Enterprise and working in the community helped me to start the Afro Caribbean Business Network which has allowed me to work even closer with the College on various projects. What’s your most memorable moment from your time at Sheridan? The thing I remember most is studying late at night at Davis campus in the Hall of Fame hallway and thinking to myself if I ever want to be on that wall I better pass this class (auditing - shout out to Peter Lade) (check spelling lol) Now over 10 years later being inducted into the Pilon School of Business hall of fame is something that only came true because of the inspiration I had studying in that hallway.
