Today, on the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day, we honour the survivors of residential schools and those who didn’t make it home, as well as their families and communities, and we commemorate the history and legacy of residential schools. The lasting consequences for Indigenous individuals and families affected are not contained within a day and so we continue to acknowledge the thee eat (truth) of our country’s history as we take action to eradicate Indigenous-specific racism in the health care system. Please join us in acknowledging this day and working toward reconciliation through action. Together we can build a truly safe and equitable health care system where everyone feels welcome.

About us
Emergency Care BC (formerly BC Emergency Medicine Network) supports and connects BC emergency practitioners with each other and with current, practical resources in order to improve patient care. For the first time, all 1100 emergency physicians in BC can connect to share their knowledge and resources. Clinical resources on the website are all publicly accessible. There is also a private forum available for physician members to share information with each other, give feedback and engage in private discussion. ECBC brings us together to ask and answer questions, share and improve resources, and robustly discuss the issues we face, ideally commenting, criticizing and contributing!
